Overall Satisfaction with Druva Security Cloud

We use Druva for backup up Office 365 items such as email, OneDrive, etc. for all of our users. The problems Druva addresses are both accidental and intentional deletion of data from our users or departed staff. The scope of our use case is organization-wide, so all users are protected from data loss in their Office 365 account.

Pros

  • Ensuring user's data is backed up with snapshots
  • Prompt and clear assistance from Druva support
  • Ease of access into the web portal
  • Providing a view into a snapshot without having to restore it first

Cons

  • The UI could be a little more clear.
  • The SSO setup was a little confusing.
  • The ticket creation procedure could be a little simpler.
  • Ease of mind knowing our user's Office 365 data is backed up
  • Additional protection against accidental deletion of mailbox items
  • A means for remedial action after a malicious incident that deletes or encrypts user's data
Our organization continues to grow, and Druva has grown seamlessly with it. Scalability being an issue isn't even something we considered or consider with Druva because they have clients much larger than our organization so we are confident they can handle any growth, including large mergers with other companies, which we have gone through.
We use Barracuda as a supplement to Druva. Barracuda handles individual email item recovery and review well. We also use Barracuda for email security. Druva is our first choice in recovery of entire mailboxes or restoring a mailbox folder from a time stamp. We would be open to see what Druva has to offer that we use Barracuda exclusively for.

We had a situation where a departed user deleted data from their mailbox. We needed several items restored, and utilized Druva to both view, and restore items that were deleted. We engaged support for assistance and their help was prompt and clear. In addition, Druva's online help articles are clearly written and easily accessed to guide our technicians through tasks on their service.

Using Druva Security Cloud

2 - An IT technician (systems administrator role) and IT manager handle day to day IT related issues and projects, including those related to Druva. We maintain our Druva environment, and use it to restore files both from OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 mailbox items.
2 - Two staff members in our IT team administer our Druva environment. We on occasion leverage Druva support, when needed.
  • Backups of OneDrive and email related items

  • Restoring deleted files and files of departed staff, when needed
  • Druva restores previous versions of files faster than Microsoft's build-in solution
  • The Druva web user interface is simple to use
  • Druva's support and rep check-in is consistent and welcoming
We regularly review our use, both in-house and with our Druva reps. We have considered expanding out use of Druva, over more archaic solutions in our existing environment.
