Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Grow is our main business intelligence tool, used for data analysis, analytics and dashboards. We use it to report on macro and micro business data points such as sales performance and marketing trends. It is also used to communicate out data and analytics to the company. Overall it is a great tool and I would highly recommend.

Pros

  • Provide easy to read and filter metrics
  • Easy to connect to CRMs and other tools
  • Quick adaption

Cons

  • Formatting dashboards can be annoying with trying to get all the metrics in one page view
  • Unable to move the order of reports when creating datasets
  • Limit on how much data you can put in

Likelihood to Recommend

Grow has been a huge plus to our organization and my work. It is very easy to create datasets and metrics from those datasets that are easily available and filterable by other users. As the first BI tool I have used and helped set up it has been so easy to learn and excel at, couldn’t imagine my work without it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Grow.com is a great product for our company, as it allows us to create powerful visualizations from our data in an intuitive software that is not too difficult to use despite its complexity. We use it to host our own dashboards as well as those of our clients and it works for us without creating too much complexity across all of these.

Pros

  • The support team is awesome.
  • There are plenty of training resources online to be able to learn the software.
  • You can integrate with other platforms that are out there to be able to funnel your data into it.

Cons

  • Filters could be improved.
  • The price is pretty high compared to other options out there.
  • SQL options could be more powerful as well.

Likelihood to Recommend

Grow.com is well suited if you have a lot of data or client data to manage. If you do not have tons of data, there are other options out there that are a bit more simple and easy to use and a better price.

  • This tool is relative easy to customize.
  • The default tools for Grow.com are very useful.

Grow.com is being used to manage our data and report on many different types of data. It helps our business make strategic decisions but spend less time aggregating and reporting on data so that we can be more productive. It helps us solve our business problems by driving decisions with data. It also helps us to visualize our data.

Pros

  • Visualize data.
  • Data migration.
  • Drag and drop.

Cons

  • Interface.
  • Learning curve.

Likelihood to Recommend

Grow.com is suitable if you have a lot of data and need to perform data migration and calculations, as well as data visualization.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Grow.com is being used by our organization to analyze data and make data driven decisions. Most of our entire organization uses it because we have different dashboards for each section of our team to analyze certain data that is within that part of the company. It solves the problem of aggregating data everything that we have in one place.

Pros

  • Easy to use.
  • Aggregates data.
  • Expandable features.

Cons

  • Integrations.
  • Autocomplete.
  • And SQL.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for any company who has a large amount of data that they want to be able to analyze in one place without a lot of effort. Grow.com makes it easy to integrate all of this data into one place that can be analyzed easily. If you have only a tiny bit of data to look at, or need tons of customization, it might make more sense to create your own platform.

Rolling out data visualization at scale via Grow

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Grow is used by MarketScale for all data visualization requirements, specifically KPI dashboards. These are deployed for every department and business unit at MarketScale, in addition to having a dashboard for each of our clients. Grow allows us to easily build and maintain KPI dashboards from hundreds of data sources, while making it easy for less-technical users to build metrics.

Pros

  • Scalability.
  • White-labeled option.
  • Ease of use.

Cons

  • Increase integration count, instead of scaling back.
  • Better support on specific API issues.
  • Continue advancing full dashboard filtering/grouping abilities.

Likelihood to Recommend

Grow is an incredible tool for a business like us that requires hundreds of dashboards and thousands of users, each with specific and varying access requirements. Since we have ~150 client dashboards, each of those needs to be restricted with a 'View Only' permission for those specific client POCs. Similarly, we have ~50 internal dashboards that different employees/departments require access to, with varying levels of access.

Grow makes it incredibly easy to share a URL with our clients and have them easily access just their dashboard. Many other data visualization platforms have a per license payment structure, which just wouldn't work for us. With unlimited users from Grow, we are able to accomplish everything we need in terms of scalability.

A great BI tool for driving key business decisions

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Grow across our entire organization. Initially, we used it mainly in Sales Ops, but have since extended its use across CS and Marketing as well. As a growing startup company, we need customizable reporting that gives us quick and accurate insights so we can pivot our approach to product development and how we sell the product.

Pros

  • Grow is very customizable, allowing us the build the BI graphics that really move our business
  • Grow has compelling visuals that help to digest information quickly
  • Grow has a great support team that has always been there when we need them

Cons

  • The navigation between different dashboards is not very clean and impairs the effectiveness of live presentations
  • The graphs and visuals are good, especially for small businesses, but it doesn't take it to the next level for us and really wow stakeholders
  • There is no preview option to understand how the dashboards will present on different devices making it difficult to anticipate sizing for presentations

Likelihood to Recommend

Grow is great for building reports, throwing them up on a screen for teams to view and track as they work and for small groups to analyze data for making short term business decisions. While the visuals in Grow are good, they fail to make the kind of impact that makes for great boardroom presentations. Fonts are not very customizable.

Great dashboarding tool, and great looking as well!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

For companies looking for a fully featured business intelligence platform, I'd keep looking. However, when you know what you're getting—easy and quickly visualized data, primarily for marketing and sales, then Grow is really going to shine. It's simple, easy to use, easy to integrate, and looks pretty darn good. It's still relatively new, so there's some catching up to do, but it's really solid as a dashboard platform.

Pros

  • Visualizations are really solid. It's extremely well designed and laid out.
  • UX and UI is fantastic. Gives you exactly what you're looking for, and typically where you're looking for it.
  • Simple to integrate common platforms and pull data.

Cons

  • There are basic labeling issues with some of the graph types. Wish there was more customizability here, especially on complex graphs.
  • Could help more with analysis of data and trends, but that's going into full-fledged BI territory.
  • The functionality of being able to snapshot data isn't quite there.

Likelihood to Recommend

Grow is very well suited for data visualization and dashboards. It is very slick looking—we keep our common sales and marketing KPIs on an array of TVs, and it's pretty. I like how they call and receive data, keeps everything really up to date. If more statistics or in-depth analysis is needed, Grow really isn't the right tool. If you want to display KPI data simply and beautifully, it's a perfect tool.

Using Grow.com for marketing team

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Grow.com as a way to combine analytics from various sources on easy-to-read dashboards.

Pros

  • Combine data sources such as Bronto click-through-rates with Google Analytics revenue.
  • Visualize data.
  • Offer many different connections/sources.

Cons

  • There are limits to what data can be shown, but that has more to do with the various APIs than Grow.
  • The pricing structure is less-than-ideal.
  • If a source/API disconnects for some reason, it's time consuming to get it to work.

Likelihood to Recommend

We use it as a way for different departments to show data to others (VPs etc) that is easier to digest than spreadsheets.
