IBM Apptio helps address problems with timeliness with financial reporting. It helps with reducing the amount of time that is spent on reporting and also helps the agencies and offices receive the data in a way that is easier for them to understand.

Cons
- I think the environment functionality is a small thing that could be made easier to understand how it actually changes the view
- On some of the filters instead of having just the Department code having the name would also help with navigation
- A feature to compare some departments or agencies side by side would be a cool thing to have

Our goal is to achieve IT Showback for our business units with the longer term goal of leverage technology business management data for IT Chargeback. The other opportunity is to extend our IT associates knowledge of what types of costs they incur for their respective areas.
