What is IBM Cloud Code Engine?

IBM Cloud Code Engine is a fully managed, serverless platform that unifies the deployment of containers and applications including web apps, microservices, event-driven functions, or batch jobs. This serverless compute service aims to remove the burden of building, deploying, and managing workloads in Kubernetes so users can focus on writing code and not on the infrastructure that is needed to host it.

With IBM Cloud Code Engine users can run any workload serverlessly. That includes long-running containers and batch jobs as well as bursty and short-lived functions. The platform dynamically scales containers according to load, has monitoring, logging and a service mesh “built in.” The vendor states users don't need to choose between long execution times, high resource limits, private networking and scale-to-zero but instead have it all on one fully-managed platform, without needing infrastructure skills.

If IBM wants to get ahead, it needs to add AI and make it seamless on the project configuration, real time chat with AI will help developers to increase speed and have less problems integrating the code into their business logic. There's no marketing using influencers, YT code developers, Firebase and AWS are dominating YT and that's the main place for developers to go and learn. Azure classes given by MS are boring. Make use of great coders on YT and you can get some advantage. For now, if you make any poll people will answer Firebase, AWS and Azure. And let's be honest, IBM CLOUD CODE ENGINE is a mouthful.

The IBM Cloud Code Engine is kind of a complex platform that renders effective Cloud services like easy deployment and management of Application performance and its resource management capability can not be compared with any of the above platforms. The baseline management functionality is unique and the easy workload management on IBM Cloud Code Engine is incredible.

What impresses me most about IBM Cloud Code Engine is the container workload management capability and the Cloud services and dataflow monitoring functionalities. Data security and network security control via IBM Cloud Code Engine is quite excellent and very responsive data integration functions and the first deployment is not very technical.

Having only some hands-on with the other services, The cloud engine is considerably simpler to operate, with a very clear interface and management. Each application can be easily configured and altered without needing to know anything about different subscription tiers or the system's inner workings. But in the case of Lambda, Depending on the situation, Code Engine will fetch your source code and generate the container image. Code Engine supports both Dockerfile and the Cloud-Native Build bundle, which is preferable. It is possible to create applications that send messages based on events.

Cloud engine is much easier to use, and gives a very clear interface and control. Each application can be configured differently with ease and changed without having to know anything about different subscription levels or inner workings of the system. Just change the resource numbers and you're done. Also there is no maintenance or even that much planning to do (making sure there are the right amount of resources in a cluster..). This is all taken care of.
