Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Infor CloudSuite ERP in our previous organization, we migrated from SAP ECC to Infor CloudSuite ERP. Having worked on SAP our experience with Infor CloudSuite ERP was pretty good. Infor CloudSuite ERP simplifies complex business processes, also its very flexible and easy to scale and integrate with other applications. It also offers industry specific solutions which was one of the main reasons for the move to Infor CloudSuite ERP.

Pros

Easy to configure the business processes without much customizations
Easy to build complex workflows
Provides industry specific solutions
Keeps the TCO lower due to lower costs for running the operations

Cons

Infor CloudSuite ERP has pretty decent UI/UX compared to SAP ECC but there is scope for improvement compared to SAP S4 Fiori tiles
Improve the functional and technical documentation. Also, it needs to work on improving the engagement within the user community
Authorization / access management needs to be further developed

We are using M3, Ming.le, and Document Management. It serves as our main ERP, and we use it for everything. Almost all things go through M3 at ESAB Europe. Orders, bookkeeping, claims (well, in this term, halfly), accounts payable and receivable & cash collection all happen through this. Plus, in Europe, we need to connect everything - or customise them to be able to get connected - to this.

I am responsible for TPS and standard costs, so I am usually using menus like item master, item warehouse connection, facility connection, price lists, alloy surcharge, FX rates, product costing display, purchase agreement, customer and supplier master, periods. I also use menus related to General Ledger and accounts set up.

most of the time it is working smoothly

Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) is used for order tracking, parts/inventory tracking, personnel pay rates in relation to job cost, and all accounting for the company.

Trying to locate forms that you haven't used before is not very user friendly
overall view and navigation is very old style and could use an update
Reports are built in and not very customizable, could also use an easy report reference guide.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cloudsuite ERP for warehouse and distribution, production planning and inventory, supply chain and logistics, sales and financials. specifically to ensure full traceability from raw materials to final product, improve production planning to reduce waste and forecast demand more accurately to optimize inventory.

Our business problems include but not restricted to:
1) Lot level tracking from farm to bottle
2) Country of origin tracking
3) Blend management
4) Cost model of average cost and standard cost used simultaneously.

Pros

Inventory management. We have seen a 30% reduction in scrap as compared to our previous ERP
Production efficiency. The use of virtual tanks and backflushing have enabled us to move to 24x7 operations without the need to stop and audit every variance.
3rd party integration. We rely heavily on 3rd party systems for EDI, banking, TMS, and TPM. Without the capability to integrate with a cloud instance we would be spending an inordinate amount of time facilitating the move met of data to a integration platform to facilitate the data transfer.

Cons

Integrated Business Planning. Specifically demand planning as it relates to forecasting using a TPM solution.
Reporting and Analytics. The Birst product included in the platform and the prepopulated dashboards are nowhere near sufficient to provide robust business reporting. Integration with Power BI or other analytical solutions avoids having to build an external data warehouse to mine relevant insights.
Named user license management. There is currently no dashboard or controlling mechanism to monitor license utilization versus subscription. We have been through 2 audits for license utilization and both revealed a deficit that we could have avoided had we had visibility to the license utilization.

Return on Investment

Accuracy: 30% reduction in inventory scrap adjustments
Scalability: Adapts easily as the business grows without heavy reinvestment. We went from 20x4 to 24x7 production with no incremental subscription cost.
Analytics: We had to reinvest in a data warehouse to provide meaningful reporting and insight.
