Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sage Intacct is used in our business as our ERP software, inclusive of purchasing, project cost tracking, invoicing, bill pay, and labor tracking for payroll. We are using the Sage Intacct package with Project Management. We are a small organization that was sold on the idea of ease of use and a solution-driven approach to key issues, such as the number of pay codes the software supports and how it would support our growth over the coming years. Our use case includes the daily monitoring and support of an in-house system admin and 15 other users. The original solution definition documentation agreed to for this program was not fully executed to achieve the intended outcome, and the software lacks the flexibility of our prior ERP package, resulting in a low overall recommendation rating.

Pros

Supports a clean print doc template for customer facing on some items.
Builds in barriers on roles to keep sensitive information restricted.
Carve outs on user-type cases for overall cost of software use.

Cons

Invoicing within the project module is cumbersome and does not function with ease under the Generate Invoice Transaction if there are multiple days/weeks of time being pulled into the invoice, or even multiple POs and non-labor transactions
Backing out something entered incorrectly requires 3-5 additional steps within transactions vs the ability to edit the mistake and move on - even for a full admin role/subscription user. This prevents the software from being actually beneficial for a small company who runs lean and does not have 2 & 3 levels of sign off for each transaction/correction/approval.
placement of transactions from multiple locations is missleading when they do not have the same full capabilities from each location. Lined out consistency would improve daily use case

Likelihood to Recommend

I feel this is a great bookkeeping software where someone or some organization does not have the actual daily workers using the platform for daily execution. In my experience, it has way too many checks and balances for real-time daily use on lean organizations that want to flow faster with fewer steps, transactions, and people. Even from experience in large-scale projects and multi-phased developments, this software has too many additional steps within the processes to make sense recommending this for overall use.

Overall, Sage Intacct allows access anytime anywhere from home, office, etc. It provides financial information on a detailed level by using dimensions that allow decision-makers to rely on realistic information. Sage Intacct is easy to use and does not require advanced financial training to get started with.

Pros

I'm a glad user of Sage Intacct since it helps my company grow at a very high speed.
Sage Intacct's features are well designed and organized thus making it simple and easy to use and learn.
Inventory management is really amazing for companies that really need high inventory management which makes it possible to track products and know where they are in real-time.

Cons

The only disadvantage is the price of the plans. It would be a nice idea to reduce the price for new or small companies.
Accessing certain fields across tables was a little wonky.
Unavailability of customer support team when you contact them.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sage Intacct is the best alternative especially for those planning to switch from any other similar products. It is easy, simple, and user-friendly. I really enjoy the imports features for invoices and journal entries which saves time and is user-friendly.

What I like most about Sage Intacct is its great functionality, performance, and usability. In fact, it is one of the most secure and easy-to-use applications I have ever used for accounting management. It has a clean UI that makes it easy to use and learn. I like the fact that it is highly customizable to suit your needs.

Pros

Easy to use, depth of functionality in many areas, and speed of implementation and integration.
It is a powerful tool for multi-entity environments, professional services, and health care.
The reporting is well thought out and predicts business needs.

Cons

I must disclose the fact that Sage Intacct is expensive compared to other similar products.
I don't like how Sage Intacct's technical support team takes longer to respond back.
Apart from this, nothing else to mention as a dislike about Sage Intacct.

One of the best applications for accounting management in the market is Sage Intacct. It is a recommendable and straightforward application that makes accounting easier and effective. It is simple and easy to implement and set up. Again, it allows us to monitor our payments with ease and from anywhere anytime.

Pros

Sage Intacct is a powerful and very secure application that enables us to create a variety of custom reports and dashboards that provide instant snapshots of every department's expenditures.
Sage Intacct integrates with other great softwares thus making it a super powerful tool for financial management.
It has a responsive customer support team behind it, they respond quickly once you contact them.

Cons

Sage Intacct can be a bit difficult to get started with especially for new beginners.
Sometimes the customer support team takes longer to respond.
It is a bit expensive.

Sage Intacct makes all of our financial processes easier and less time-consuming. It has a very helpful reports module. Sage Intacct provides high security for our data thus making it a very secure application for financial management.

The entire company uses Sage Intacct to manage time and expenses. This is very important to us, as we base all of our decisions on the metrics gained from monitoring both time and expenses. Sage Intacct creates a simple and streamlined process for project managers to break up and manage large project that have many members.

As compared to our last job management system, Sage Intacct shines. It is well suited for the application that we deploy it in; that is, tracking time and expenses across the company. The advanced reporting capabilities allow the project managers to better track projects and keep them within budget. The ability to drill down into the expenses and attach documents helps a great deal as well.

It is being used for multiple departments. Treasury, accounting, and inventory. We use it for entering payables and managing finances. It helps us keep track of all the cash flow for the company.

Pros

It is easy to use and very straightforward. I felt like I didn't need any instruction on how to use it, it came naturally because of the layout and specific features.
It made it possible for our company to go remote. We are able to attach invoices digitally with Intacct. Thankfully we had switched to Intacct before the pandemic hit, so we able to work from home.
It is organized, there is a place for everything. It is clean and aesthetically pleasing.

Cons

In entering bills you cannot go back to the previous bill you were working on.
In entering bills you can't see which bill number you are working on.

Likelihood to Recommend

In my case, Sage made it possible for our department to go paperless, which is great for the environment and great for the flexibility of working from home. It made it so all of our files could digitally be attached to the entries themselves. We now have access to files without having to leave our desks or rummaging through stacks of paper.

Sage Intacct is used by my organization's accounting team to manage general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, as well as other functions. It is the main piece of accounting software we use for most things. We also use it to keep a database of company shareholders to facilitate easier dividends disbursement.

Pros

The interface is very intuitive and easy to pick up even for someone inexperienced with accounting software.
There's a wealth of documentation and lessons that new users can use to get up to speed quickly.
It is possible to generate many kinds of reports that help with processes and general upkeep.

Cons

More streamlined data entry; there's always room for improvement but I'd particularly like to see more capability for keyboard-only data input.
More fine-tuned filtering options for custom views and reports.
More customizability at the user level to improve efficiency.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sage Intacct is the best accounting software I've used in my short career. The interface is user-friendly and helps keep things from becoming too intimidating for someone new to the job. I believe even non-accounting personnel can pick up Sage Intacct easily, and the online nature of the software lets them use it anywhere.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using it as our core ERP/accounting solution throughout the entire company. It replaced QuickBooks, which we had used when we first started the business. We will ultimately integrate Salesforce.com (our front-end solution) with Intacct. We are also in the process of using a well regarded Intacct VAR to customize Intacct for our unique business space.

Pros

Ease of use-extremely intuitive & on-line help is very useful
Adaptability with Other Systems - rather than trying to be a one-stop shop ERP with every module/system it is built to integrate with best in class systems
Ease of Customization - allows for simple customization (e.g. field names) that aren't messed up nor require testing with upgrades; to more enhanced/involved platform customization
True Cloud-based/SaaS Solution - it was never an on-premise solution that had to be adapted to the cloud, it has always been a cloud-based solution and when using the system this is very evident when compared to other solutions that have later launched a cloud-based solution
*Upgrades are seamless and relevant
*Pricing is competitive and thus far haven't turned into a typical Tier 1 system in terms of high single digit annual price increases (hopefully they never will as this makes it much more appealing to the small/mid sized companies which will organically increase Intacct's revenues through their employee/user growth)

Cons

Very difficult to find programmers/developers experienced in this system (hopefully it will come with time and their continued growth)
Customer service is just marginal- we don't pay for the enhanced service so that may be really good. Fortunately, it is not very often needed (the system is so intuitive and online help resources are great).

Likelihood to Recommend

It is such an easy to use system that enables us, as a smaller start-up company, to have a great foundation as we continue to grow. Intacct is a fantastic core system to build all of your company's technology solutions around, whether [you] are a small start-up, middle market or larger established multi-national company.

Every department in our organization uses Sage Intacct to handle multi-entity and inter-company transactions.

Pros

Very intuitive and easy to use
The dashboard looks great
Provides a high level of detail available and drill down capabilities.

Cons

Need to open a ticket before you can talk to customer service. The you get an email requesting our log in information before we can get any help.
Reports are cumbersome to create. Feels like some obvious reporting capability either isn't available, or maybe it cost more. I'd like to pull up a report regarding expense reports. For example, how much did Joe Smith spend on cell phone bills.
If there is a way to see this, I am not sure how to do it. But also along the line of expense report Reports - I'd like to make sure that Joe Smith did not charge us for his July cell bill twice. I only know how to do this by manually checking each report.

Likelihood to Recommend

For the most part it is very easy to use. For example I can enter 8/3, and it automatically sets the date to the current year. The date shortcuts are easy and helpful.
