Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We are using it as our core ERP/accounting solution throughout the entire company. It replaced QuickBooks, which we had used when we first started the business. We will ultimately integrate Salesforce.com (our front-end solution) with Intacct. We are also in the process of using a well regarded Intacct VAR to customize Intacct for our unique business space.
  • Ease of use-extremely intuitive & on-line help is very useful
  • Adaptability with Other Systems - rather than trying to be a one-stop shop ERP with every module/system it is built to integrate with best in class systems
  • Ease of Customization - allows for simple customization (e.g. field names) that aren't messed up nor require testing with upgrades; to more enhanced/involved platform customization
  • True Cloud-based/SaaS Solution - it was never an on-premise solution that had to be adapted to the cloud, it has always been a cloud-based solution and when using the system this is very evident when compared to other solutions that have later launched a cloud-based solution
  • *Upgrades are seamless and relevant
  • *Pricing is competitive and thus far haven't turned into a typical Tier 1 system in terms of high single digit annual price increases (hopefully they never will as this makes it much more appealing to the small/mid sized companies which will organically increase Intacct's revenues through their employee/user growth)
  • Very difficult to find programmers/developers experienced in this system (hopefully it will come with time and their continued growth)
  • Customer service is just marginal- we don't pay for the enhanced service so that may be really good. Fortunately, it is not very often needed (the system is so intuitive and online help resources are great).
  • This is difficult to quantify as we obviously made a decision to invest in a more robust solution when leaving QuickBooks. I do believe other options we considered would have been more costly and thus far Intacct has met or exceeded all of our expectations and not "broken the bank" like some Tier 1 software do.
We utilize things like the expense reporting module, importing JEs and even had Intacct build a custom payment import tool.
We are only using the core modules at this time. Our only foray into the advanced capabilities are around dashboard/reporting, expense reporting and the flexibility of the platform for our significant customization efforts. All have been extremely easy to use and work well.
The integration was extremely easy. While we were still in our infancy as a company it still was very seamless and we were able to load detailed transaction history. We were also able to do the entire project with just Intacct's internal resources.
We felt the Dynamics was not truly a cloud based solution but rather an on-prem solution trying to move into the SaaS space. It still seemed to be doing things in batch mode and the user experience was a bit clunky along with a lot of latency issues. We ultimately narrowed our choice to NetSuite and Intacct. While very impressed with NetSuite we were a little fearful of it being too similar to Oracle in terms of being less of a plug and play solution (more focused on customizations), having annual price increases similar to the Tier 1 solutions (Oracle/SAP) and would likely ultimately be owned by them (at that time they didn't wholly own it but rather Larry just was the largest shareholder). Obviously, the last fear ultimately came to fruition after we had already gone with Intacct. We felt that Intacct was a great core accounting solution, great partners (not trying to be a one-stop shop for all business needs), highly scaleable, easy to customize and a great value.
It is such an easy to use system that enables us, as a smaller start-up company, to have a great foundation as we continue to grow. Intacct is a fantastic core system to build all of your company's technology solutions around, whether [you] are a small start-up, middle market or larger established multi-national company.
