I use iSpring to create work instructions and job aids in a specialty pharmacy to train pharmacord employees.
  • In-depth settings for customization
  • I really like the slide templates
  • Variety of add ons (characters/settings)
  • I love the interactions (infographic maker)
  • Perhaps customizing colors of interactions could be simplified like how one would customize the slides as a whole.
Well suited: role playing scenarios in the work place. Showing data through the use of interactions. Training and gauging learning of employees or students with the built-in quizzes.

As a leader of learning in my organization, I use iSpring to create eLearning content in a way that supports both compliance and deeper learning across the enterprise. We have 6 compliance modules that we are responsible for and this provides a manageable lift to ensure that all employees have engaging, instructionally focused learning.

I was struggling with how to resolve some branching issues, and I reached out to iSpring through their support. I was asked to share my project. They looked at it and within 1 hour, I had a solution!

I have NEVER felt this kind of support from a software or plugin!

Used for our teams to do annual training on our LMS. Because iSpring Suite can be interactive, we think that it "forces" the learner to read through the presentations and answer questions throughout.
  • Support responded to me within a few hours each time I contacted them.
  • The interface, once you get used to it works well.
  • Has a good library of characters.
  • Scenes- I'm having a difficult time understanding how "scenes" dragging and linking conversations together.
  • Allow more than one character to be in a scene.(to replicate a conversation.
  • Although there are a lot of characters, seems like every emotion pose is the same. Some should vary.
Well suited for online training. I haven't tried using it in a classroom setting but it may work with that too. (having an entire group answer questions or a survey.

We develop online courses for the Aviation Maintenance sector, particularly FAA Repair Stations. It is used by both myself and the president of the company. It addresses mandatory training our clients must conduct or undergo. It has been a very helpful tool in accomplishing that end.
  • Video editing.
  • Audio narration
  • Interactive quiz development.
  • Object orientation.
  • Advanced video editing features.
  • Course outline enhancements.
iSpring Suite is well-suited for the development of course material that is interactive.

  • I ran into a small technical problem and contacted the iSpring helpdesk. Problem solved in a short time. This pleased me very much, but it didn't surprise me. Every time I contact iSpring's subscription department or technical service, I've received polite, prompt, and very professional responses. I am therefore fully satisfied not only with the program but also with the assistance.

We use iSpring Suite to create online courses for corporate learning and development programs.
  • Integration within PowerPoint
  • Easy to export in various file types for use in many different LMSs
  • Simple to adjust the player features.
  • Lack of available templates for interactions and quizzes, have to start from scratch when developing these.
  • A player that can be minimized/hidden so that it looks better when integrating with online LMS platforms like Learn Worlds.
  • Compatibility with Mac. I have to use a third party software to run Windows on my Mac so that I can use iSpring Suite. This increases my costs and may affect how well and fast iSpring Suite functions.
The current courseware is best suited to single, stand alone short courses. Learning programs that require many courses may be confusing for the learner - menu gets confusing the larger the course, but this may be because of the setting I'm using.

I mainly use iSpring Suite as a freelancer to create custom courses for clients and also to develop off-the-shelf content. I chose iSpring because I needed an easy-to-use, comprehensive authoring tool that allows me to create engaging courses in a timely manner.
  • It has a variety of useful features (automated quizzes, interactions, simulations, text-to-voice, video and audio editing, templates and characters library, etc.)
  • It allows you to use all the functionalities of PowerPoint
  • Exceptional customer support
  • Resources to support the users (a community, blog posts, webinars, etc.)
  • Can't think of anything right now, perhaps more Romanian text-to-voice options :)
I recommend it for its effectiveness as it allows you to rapidly develop engaging e-learning and its various features allow you to easily incorporate learning theories and principles into your courses.

In our MCS Academy we are actively moving from presence to blended learning. The selection of tools to migrate our current, extensive static learning content to interactive modules on our LMS was very easy as the base sources are Word and Excel documents.
  • Converts PowerPoint to interactive SCORM
  • Converts Word books to HTML and keeps chapter organisation
  • Allows for checking and confirming output before publishing
  • I am happy with the product
We use the iSpring Suite to convert our static training material to interactive web formats. In addition we create Quizzes to add "quality control" to our online offerings.

I use iSpring to create short learning courses for employees at the university.
  • Support
  • Updating the product continuously
  • Ability to publish in different formats
  • I would love to see more student interactive activities (e.g. Flashcards, crossword puzzles, interactive videos, games)
Presentation is really in how creative the designer wants to be. PowerPoint 365 has tremendous abilities to allow for animation and motion. Coupled with iSpring, it is on steroids. Love the freedom to be creative, but not have to have a huge learning curve to get learning opportunities completed.

In my current position, I use iSpring on a daily basis to develop a number of eLearning courses to support capability uplift projects for organisation-wide implementation. iSpring is the recommended eLearning design tool at our organisation.
  • User friendly and easy to navigate
  • Seamless integration with PowerPoint
  • Easy to create quizzes and surveys
  • It takes a while to load the interactions, quizzes and surveys
  • Inability to view PowerPoint slides and interactions, quizzes and surveys simultaneously
  • Some features are hidden and are not easily found
Similar to other eLearning design tools, iSpring is well-suited for motivated, self-paced learners that do not require much guidance and support in completing an eLearning course. iSpring may be less suitable for learners with lower digital literacy and learning content that will benefit from a more 'interactive' and 'in-person' delivery.

I used iSpring Suite to develop eLearning products for fortune 100 companies world wide and I advise on adoption and use of the software. I also provide coaching and troubleshooting for new users.
  • It handles video really well, eliminating playback issues.
  • It allows users who develop advanced animations in PowerPoint to preserve their animations and provides superior playback.
  • It enables the fastest development time possible.
  • Enable developers to add numbering to answers in the Quiz Authoring tool
I have not found a scenario where iSpring cannot meet a need. I used Lectora for nearly 20 years and I thought I would never abandon it, but using iSpring for just a short amount of time sold me on it. iSpring has become my go to tool and the one I promote to customers.

We use iSpring to develop technical training based on procedures and customer and regulatory requirements. iSpring Suite allows us to convey complex and often mundane topics into interactive and engaging eLearning courses.
  • Text-to-Speech. Recording voiceovers for a course is tough, time-consuming and taxing. However, the text-to-speech option resolves this and makes it much more convenient. The language options and accents are like icing on the cake.
  • Ease of use. It is very easy to learn and interact with iSpring Suite. The content is well designed and organized.
  • Interactions. An interactive course allows for a more engaging experience for the user. iSpring Suite offers numerous ways to create interactions, which elevate courses to higher potentials.
  • Role Play Scenarios. Similar to interactions, role play scenarios allow specific scenarios to become interactive for the user. The possibilities allow for some unique creativity in design.
  • When adding an Introduction to an interaction, it would be nice to have the option to include text-to-speech. You can add audio, but you have to import the audio file. So I have to record text-to-speech in a different program, save it and then import it into the interaction. The same is true for Role Play Scenarios. It's quite inconvenient.
  • Screen-casting is great. However, the video effects are somewhat limited. For example, zooming in and out, text behaviors/effects, etc.
iSpring Suite is excellent at developing interactive eLearning courses. It is easy to use and is convenient for internal SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to share their knowledge through course creation. The text-to-speech option provides opportunities to design courses for a global audience in their language. Screen-casting allows a step-by-step walkthrough of technical documentation, like Work Instructions or Procedures. We can highlight specific points in those same documents using the interactions. Quizzes are also interactive and allow pictures, which provides a way to highlight site-specific situations and test for knowledge.

Our Legal Department used iSpring Suite to create eLearning for employees. The goal was to find an easy, cheap solution which would allow us to create an interactive course in SCORM format (suitable with our eLearning system) translate the course in 10 languages and enable to do it on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Interactive courses (quizzes, drag and drop, clickable images, etc.)
  • Different characters to make a course interesting
  • Export and import of text for translation
  • Support team
  • Interactions could look a bit more professional
  • Having more slide templates would be nice
Even though we had not had experience creating eLearning, it was easy to do with iSpring Suite. We chose iSpring Suite because it allows to create interactive courses, it's much cheaper than hiring an external provider to create a course, it's easy to export text for translation and import back, and courses can be created in SCORM format which is necessary in order to add the course to our eLearning system. iSpring Suite have a convenient help page that explains how to use characters, create quizzes and interaction, add template slides, etc. What I expecially liked was their support team that was very helpful and always in touch.

If you have a big budget and/or do not have time to create eLearning internally, you might want to look for another solution.

We use iSpring Suite to develop storyboards and learning content layouts for our customers to review and interact with courses. Once approved, we make the PowerPoint slides interactive, then publish them as either SCORM, AICC, or MP4 videos, whichever is appropriate for the project. Customers can also create their own PowerPoint slides, which we then use as a starting point. The PPTX file has solved that intermediary format that is easy to create, update, and now convert easily into learning content.
  • Develop custom navigation
  • Manage narration files
  • Maintain PowerPoint animations and interactions
  • Use overlays in embedded videos to pause and display additional information
  • More robust video tools
  • More examples for using web objects effectively
This is one of the best authoring tools in the market. As a strong user of most of them, we ran across iSpring Suite years ago when the product was still evolving. Who would have thought that having these tools embedded inside PowerPoint would make such an impact? There is nothing I can't do with iSpring Suite that others claim is unique to their authoring products, and some things that I can do even better.

My largest customer is an international IT hardware/software/cloud services firm that was using a development platform that was costly and less than optimal. I could have chosen a package like Adobe Captivate or Articulate 360, which I have experience with. They have more powerful options, but are much more costly (a minor issue) and have a much higher learning curve. This was a major issue, as I needed to learn this package quickly, then help a team of others ramp up to learn it. Also, given the short development and course refresh cycles, the added power of the other packages seemed non-essential. The danger with those packages seemed akin to developing the ultimate battle weapon after the war is over.
The iSpring package enables me to quickly ramp a smaller group of folks up to use iSpring - its easy! Then I developed a parallel processing scheme to leverage that smaller group with a larger group of SME/courseware developers. We've developed around 200 learning products thus far, and quickly counting.
Tech support is very responsive, customer feedback is great, and the courses look professional, with good interactive, quizzing, and branching features.
  • Simple, easy-to-learn development package
  • Powerful enough to create very good learning material relatively quickly
  • good, very responsive tech support
  • Adding audio narration to interactive slides is easy, but still perhaps a bit repetitive/clunky
  • The way you add playlists works well, but wish it was "project/course specific", instead of carrying over from project to project. Easy to delete playlists, tho.
  • If you have a common set of learner resources to make available over many courses, you must manually add the URLs and/or PDFs manually each time. Would be so nice to be able to create a "reference list" and import it to each course with a click or two. This is the most annoying thing I can think of about iSpring.
It is perfect for those who must develop very good eLearning products with fairly short development and refresh cycles. In this case, there just isn't time to spend extra days or weeks tweaking around with all the advanced power of Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate. 70% or so of the work is in PowerPoint, so its quick to learn and quick to develop content. If you have longer development cycles with time to create more involved interactions, perhaps using Boolean logic and heavy customization, perhaps Articulate or Captivate might be a good choice. Even so, it might be worth giving iSpring a try - it is probably powerful enough for most use cases. I also found iSpring support to be FAR better than Captivate (this was admittedly a couple years ago) and perhaps a bit better than Articulate.

I use it to create recordings of training tutorials and now quizzes.
  • Video editing is really easy
  • The audio and video quality are very good
  • Technical support has been great
  • It's a bit disjointed so I keep contacting Support for help in adding quizzes to tutorials, etc.
  • The clip art/graphics are the only let down in my opinion. They really need to be improved to compete with Adobe Stock and others. (I hope that improves!)
  • I can't really think of anything else I think should be improved
iSpring Suite has been great for creating software simulations. So much more user-friendly than Adobe Captivate! I've learned most of it just by using it and then reaching out to Support when I have questions and I've been really happy with their responsiveness and help. Probably the best software support I've received from any application.

We use iSpring mainly to improve the skills of our sales personnel (over 1000 persons). We introduced e-learning during the COVID19 pandemic to avoid physical contact between training participants.
  • It is easy to learn how to use it.
  • The Customer service is fast and reliable.
  • Tutorials are available.
  • It is regularly updated.
  • Gallery - pictures, backgrounds and characters could be expanded.
  • It would be great to have more slide templates available.
iSpring is great when a solution that is fast and easy to deploy is required. In terms of functionalities, there is a good value for money. It does not require a steep learning curve from the course authors. Customer support is efficient and effective. iSpring is an excellent choice for novice e-learning creators.

I use iSpring Suite to create all elearning courses wich are essential part of our business
  • It's so intuitive to use, I'm not a technical expert but I can create amazing courses!
  • It's very easy to transform any ppt from our content creator in a great eLearning course
  • Screen captures work great to show how other software programs work
  • I would like to have the possibility to convert to Scorm not just PowerPoint but HTML projects also
  • I miss more pharmaceutical customs, not just medical ones
  • I would like to work with cartoons as well as real characters to make less serious courses
iSpring Suite is just perfect if you need "rapid learning", templates, visual tools... but you will need another tool if you need to manage transitions, high-level exercises, or work with multiple layers Is very difficult to work with several layers in the same slide if you usually need to change contents, text...

I've been using iSpring software since version 6. It has been a critical component for providing hybrid learning opportunities to first response professionals for more than a decade. When the pandemic hit and lockdowns enforced, the first responder community still needed to educate, train, and sustain a robust workforce. Having used iSpring for such a long period of time, we were able to continue classes with few interruptions. As for the software itself, it has become incredibly user friendly, intuitive, and easy to teach to all of our instructors and content developers!
  • Easy to use and intuitive for your educators
  • Publishes in the most common formats for LMS use
  • Easy to edit previous products and re-publish as needed
  • I would like to see computer voiceover options within the desktop client.
  • Better video editing interface or integration with open-source video editing.
  • The iSpring software costs are becoming a bit excessive, it used to be quite affordable.
Without a doubt, iSpring software is the BEST product out there! However, it is becoming priced out of reality for small, non-profit agencies. I would have recommended this as the first purchase option 5 years ago, however pricing has become more of a determining factor for those asking me for recommendations.
