Kameleoon allows us to regulate the IT load when urgent needs arise on our site. Typically, when we need to remove text urgently or add a pop-in during the day to make an announcement. As part of our customer journey improvement, it also reduces customer friction through various push notes and A/B tests. It provides visibility of data on our customer journeys for important feedback to our management.
Pros

Data collect on login screen
Poll and reviews from users

More than filters in the library section folders would be great for a better organization

We use Kameleoon for AB testing and personalizing purposes. It helps us decide which experience is the best for our clients on our website. It allows us, at the marketing team, to ensure that our website is only pushing for a better and easier navigating time. Our time with ..., our CSM, is always valuable to exchange on current tests or what we would like next. The development team is also available to develop our tests when we have no bandwidth to take them on our own.
Pros
AB testing
Personalization
Accompaniment
Cons
Previsualization on the website that sometimes doesn't work
Graphic editor that can be hard to use and update
The segment configuration can be difficult to grasp
Likelihood to Recommend
Kameleoon is especially efficient for testing a cross-sell section where you want to see which products will have the best conversion. It is also great when you want to see if a new sticker zone on your product pages will have an impact on the add to cart button. It is less suited if you only want to add content on your website without wanting to see if it will have a real impact.
We use Kameleoon's entire suite of features such as Feature Management (serverside), Web Experimentation (clientside), Product Targeting, Widget Editor and many other of their capabilities.
We utilize Kameleoon to run experiments and controlled roll-outs where we monitor results and obtain statistical significant results through their powerful statistics and reporting engine.
All relevant people across the larger organization have access to Kameleoon, meaning they all have the power to run their own experiments within their own teams which make us agile and capable to do experiments that doesn't reply on another team or resource
Pros
Support, training and professional services
Beautiful and intuitive user interface
Powerful reporting
All-in-one experimentation tool
Cons
Some features are complex and requires more time to set up than necessary, e.g. Widgets created from scratch
In their Graphic Editor (which has a generally good UI) it's easy to lose track of changes done and some of the UX could be done better
Difficult to support SPA's and Dynamic CSS classes which can cause flickering (page targeting) and not being able to target the elements (to change) on the website
Some bad English translations here and there that doesn't make sense
Likelihood to Recommend
If you have a website that is structured in a normal way; Unique CSS classes/ID's and not a SPA (Single Page Application) Kameleoon will run beautifully and as expected. You don't need to have a high level of technical skills in order to manage the tool. If you want to make sure everything runs smoothly, taken the above mentioned into account, you'll need to have technical people available to help you with code and/or JavaScript snippets to make sure the experiment works as expected.
Kameleoon is great at dealing with a complex area (experimentation and statistics) and making it understandable and manageable also for people that aren't experienced experimenters.
Kameleoon allows us to quickly test and take data-driven decision when it comes to core evolution on our websites and helps us fill gaps in our CMS' UX capabilities. We've been using Kam for more than 5 years now, and we managed to greatly improve our conversion rates largely thanks to it.
Pros
A/B tests
Personalizations
Widget
Code edition interface
Cons
User friendlyness of the graphic editor (but I'm more cmofortable with code)
Likelihood to Recommend
Creation of brand and marketing campaigns, good workaround to compensate our CMS weakness, CRM personalizations.
We use Kameleoon to test and grow our experimentation program, providing data-informed decisions for projects and campaigns. Its targeting and segmentation capabilities are essential for experiments on our website. The platform delivers easy to read yet insightful analytics, enabling us to make informed decisions efficiently and optimize performance across our initiatives.
Kameleoon is easy to use, to run tests and report on results across our business.
Pros
Audience segmentation and targeting
Flexible and comprehensive analytics
Ease of use
Cons
Some graphic editor tools don't always work for us. E.g. generating selectors, locked out elements/customisations
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for growing your experimentation programme, have comprehensive targeting needs, need fast deployment and quick data. Could be challenging to use without some technical expertise and would require developer assistance. More opportunity to leverage the platform’s full capabilities otherwise and run more complex experiments.
Kameleoon contributes to improve our conversion rate by implementing AB testing experience to evaluate if the original or the variant experience is best.
It deploys also patch experience while we wait for the development in intern.
It implements personalization project based on target visitors we want to. For all theses projets, it gives us quantitative results which helps us to take decisions on our strategies.
Pros
AB testing experience
speed to set up an experience in prod
customer support very reactive
Cons
Sometimes there are bugs on the website when a new experience is set up
Maybe, the autonomy on the implementation of a new project can be improved (without going through by the technical team of Kameleoon)
The "widget editor" is limited technically
Likelihood to Recommend
If you want to improve your conversion rate, Kameleoon is the perfect solution. It offers many options and qualities results to help your company.
However, if you do not have a lead objective or push your visitor to make an action on your website, I do not think that Kameleoon will be appropriate
Kameleoon is being used by our marketing department to :-optimize the click-rate on key CTA (To contact a counsellor, to request a quote) on desktop and mobile- to experiment new versions of key pages (contact page, self-care page) by comparing the performances of the original and variations, and then it makes it easier to make the best strategic decision, based on data, regarding the changes to implement or not on our website- do some patching (deviated tests) when our IT team has no bandwidth to release the changes in production.
Pros
The Kameleoon team of integrators can develop completely new versions of key pages, which is a big time and money saver for us.
The consulting team is reactive and proactive as well, and helps us to challenge our roadmap. We've established a relationship of trust with Kameleoon: they fully managed and deploy the A/B Test for us.
Last but not least, we can tests different look and feels for key element on the website, and then increase conversions by deviating the traffic directly towards the winning variation.
Cons
Depending on the use-cases we want to experiment, some developments may take a longer time to complete than usual which is fine, but must be taken into account in the roadmap deployment
We use Kameleoon to gain insights into our friction and conversion points by setting up AB tests. This enables us to test our hypotheses to determine which is the most efficient in relation to our visitors' browsing habits. In this way, we can more easily prioritize developments with our agency and validate our evolutions with figures.
Pros
Setting up AB tests
Analyze results by audience and objectives
Diverting our efficient experiences to compensate for developing waits
Cons
Testing via js or css code not always easy to learn without a technical background
Wysiwyg does not work with all sites depending on the site code
Likelihood to Recommend
We can quickly set up tests to validate our hypotheses: according to our roadmap, we implement potential evolutions. And depending on the results, we prioritize implementation by our agency.
However, setting up tests requires knowledge of css and js, which we didn't have when we implemented Kameleoon. We had to train ourselves in-house to be more autonomous on the implementation, as we don't have an in-house technical team.
