Use Cases and Deployment Scope

This is my second experience with Kyriba and a major reason I accepted my current position was due to the pending Kyriba implementation project. We use Kyriba to position cash, provide prior day reporting, and payment factory just to name a few.

Likelihood to Recommend

Kyriba is the gold standard TMS. It is never down, never fails to make a payment or ingest a file. It is user friendly and easy to teach to new team members without TMS experience. It has created itself as the central hub of our bank connectivity environment.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Bank Balance and Transaction reporting, FX & cash mgmt, long term debt, bank guarantees, cash forecasting, investments, and their supporting accounting modules.

Pros

Clean, clear UI with user customizable workflows.
Robust feature set and abundant options to configure modules.
Integration with ERPs, FX trading platforms, investment portals
Excel API. The ability to press a button and sync reports/data with Kyriba allows for a lot of flexibility in reporting.
The analytics module, while "extra" offers a strong offering for native visualization capabilities.

Cons

Pricing. Transparency (itemized pricing wasn't offered us), strong premium against peers, and every little thing is an added cost (EG they bill per user, per module).

Likelihood to Recommend

Kyriba is a fully featured TMS that offers SaaS ease of maintenance and implementation. Because of the amount of customization and feature set, cost is higher, implementation time can be longer against some of the other other options in the market. That said - for those looking for a SaaS platform TMS, Kyriba offers almost everything that can be asked for and often beats competitors in pure capabilities and features. There is also a steep learning curve - so for simpler Treasury orgs, the cost likely isn't worth it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Kyriba manages our cash accounting, bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, liquidity planning and payments. It’s in-house banking allows us to fund entity at several different banks without having to login to any banking platform. We are continually leveraging the system to automate processes in order to eliminate the need for additional hires and to strategically align our treasury practices.

Kyriba is helpful when consolidating banking platforms into one place. It allows us to consolidate data for easier forecasting and sort data based on specific needs. It automates the GL reconciliation process and almost eliminates the need for posting cash accounting. We are able to easily track debt and produce amortization schedules with the deal capture module.

I've been working with Kyriba since 2020. In our first phase, we implemented 3 modules. We were like kids in a candy store with the ability to see over 200+ bank accounts in the click of a button. Kyriba has been very helpful with supporting our company with our debt transactions. We are currently implementing the payment Hub, fraud and bank fees module.

Communicate updated released times
Kyriba support replies to my questions within 24hrs or less

Cons

Deal Capture is a very difficult module when updating interest rates, notional amounts, etc.
Without Kyriba support or a consultant, administration is not user friendly

Kyriba has helped our treasury department cut down on spending time on day to day reporting that has been manual work and now allows us to run scheduled reporting to automatically send to internal team members.

Our organization is a domestic US client and we don't have any foreign banks. The majority of our bank accounts are located at one bank with one main concentration account. We do not use the payments module currently due to it not meeting our needs. We needed more security and controls around who can enter vs release payments. It's something that we are hopeful to utilize in the future to centralize our ACH and wire payments. Kyriba has been helpful in automating some of our day to day, weekly and monthly reporting. It has cut down drastically on the amount of manual reports our department was having to download. We love the template scheduler to automate reports.

We use Kyriba as our treasury management system. It helps us position cash and process wires and FX settlements. We also leverage its payment factory module for AP automation. We are starting to utilize its API functionality to extend automation into Power Platform, including enabling board-level and management-level reporting through Power BI.

Adding enhancements on a regular basis

Cons

Kyriba Support is poor; they do not respond in a timely manner, if at all
The internal design is rigid and confusing. Several report columns and internal controls do not make sense.
Despite recently upgrading the UI to utilize HTML5, it still feels old and difficult to navigate.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is best suited for complex organizations such as ours, as it bests its competitors in its feature set. Less complex organizations would likely benefit from less complex software.

We leverage Kyriba today on a global scale to capture our bank statement reporting to support cash positioning and forecasting, and to support our global payment activity. Having Kyriba in maintain our banking connections for our payment activity allows us to minimize the strain on our IT department from maintaining the numerous connections and free them up for more value-added activities. We also leverage Kyriba for other functionality as well, such as FX hedging, accounting, bank account management, capturing debt/investment positions, etc. This has allowed us to standardize processes, increase controls by reducing reliance on banking portals, and provide more real-time visibility into cash balances/forecasting to make more proactive strategic decisions.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been using Kyriba since our go-live deployment in

2020. It has been instrumental in improving our daily cash management and

forecasting and bank account administration. Our Kyriba support team has been

hands on every step of the way, which has helped us trouble shoot issues,

explore and test new capabilities and stay up to date on training, new features

and Kyriba events. The level of visibility to our cash position has been

helpful for all levels of our department.
