I use Later Social for scheduling posting on SM, analytics, and link in bio. My organization is active on all platforms and really needs to reach wider audiences. Later Social really helps in this case to make my scheduling so much easier and faster. The user interface is easy to learn and easy to use for texts, pictures, and videos.

  • Calendar scheduling - easy to quickly view and use
  • Link in bio. So simple.

Cons

  • when you schedule a post, a green banner pops up over all the social platforms. I really wish that wasn't there. I have to click the x or wait for it to go away so I can move to another platform. I just wish if it was going to give me confirmation, it was smaller or right next to the post on the calendar. It shouldn't cover up things I need to get to.
  • Add BlueSky! It's gaining traction!

I make a lot of graphics and need to schedule them on all platforms - Later Social helps me do that very quickly and easily. I can drag and drop, uploading is quick and easy, even editing content is easy.

We used later to schedule our posts and ensure our feed looked aesthetically the way we wanted it to. It was easy to synch our social channels via their scheduler as well.

  • Scheduling and aesthetically planning.

  • Better analytics.
  • More in-depth messaging and inbox capabilities.

I use Later to post social media updates across multiple platforms. Was looking for a lower cost way to schedule posts. Later is working well. The hashtag feature is helpful.

Cons

  • Would be wonderful if there was a way to copy posts easily.
  • Would be nice to view posts without opening like you plan to edit them. Just want to preview them like an email.
  • Would be nice to be able to schedule posts to Facebook Groups.

Great place for small business to start with social media manager across multiple platforms. The paid service point is lower fits small business budget better. The features and scheduling options are useful.

I found out about it Later in 2015, + love it! Their education and resources are great. I and we use them for LinkedIn and Twitter repurposing and shares currently. I directed my VA to automate and scale this area. It is easy and a great solution to help scale society. We may expand further in other options soon as well.

It is easy to use to set up and schedule on LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms. I would love to see the ability to partner with others and cross-collaborate.

I use Later Review to manage multiple social sets and it's amazing how easy it makes everything for everyone involved. It's very easy to use, and it's very intuitive. Also, I don't think there is another scheduling tool with this many features and functionalities. It really does a great job of mirroring the best features of each social platform. And not only that, there are some social media functionalities that only Later has managed to achieve. Compared to other tools, you get a lot more for your money. It's very accessible, too.

The free version is more than enough for personal use. But if you have a small business or if you're trying to grow your brand, it's better to use one of the premium plans. It's worth it. Later is especially useful if you manage multiple accounts for multiple brands/companies because you'll be managing everything with just one tool

I am a social media manager and have been using Later on and off for the last 3 years. My main services are Instagram scheduling and I started using Later because it was recommended by other digital marketers as the "best" tool for Instagram planning.

Pros

  • Has a visual planner that can help you plan your Instagram feed
  • Easy to use scheduling features (eg. drag an image and drop it on the calendar)

Cons

  • Analytics can be improved.
  • Makes fake promises that it offers Instagram Stories scheduling and TikTok scheduling when in fact it doesn't.

Likelihood to Recommend

Later can be a great tool for you if you're a blogger or manage a single Instagram account. Then, you'll find their free plan worth it. However, if you're a marketing agency or new social media manager scheduling across multiple platforms (eg. LinkedIn) this app is quite pricy and lacks a lot of complex features.

I also have a big problem with the misrepresentation of scheduling Instagram stories - as this is one of the main "attraction factors" that made me choose this scheduling app.

We use Later to help schedule our and our clients' social media posting. By doing so and allowing us to connect other platforms (not just Instagram), it helps us reduce wasted time in having to login individually to separate accounts and copy/paste the same information over and over. We have the ability to in a way "set it and forget it," by taking a few hours out of our day to create and schedule content, then we can focus on what's important which is engaging with our followers.

If you are looking to grow your social media audience, especially on Instagram, you need to incorporate this platform into your list of tools. Not only do you have the ability to schedule your posts and link those posts to their own individual pages, but you can also respond to comments on the platform. It's incredible. Whether you're an individual person or big brand - this works for everyone.

As the first platform that offered a direct posting to Instagram, it has become our go-to resource for clients that wish to plan and manage their Instagram content with advance planning and strategies. It's continued improvements have proved to be invaluable!

Later is a social media scheduling tool that I use to arrange and schedule social media content such as videos, graphics, and stories to platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. This tool has helped to save me time on posting on our social media business accounts and stay consistently visible. It’s a tool that I use on the go on mobile and tablet via its app and through its website. <span style="font-size: 15px;">It also provides some useful data insights on the engagement of your content and the best times to post. Later is an essential tool to help run my business presence online smoothly.</span>

  • Schedules to platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.
  • It auto publishes graphics, and ideas to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Cons

  • It currently doesn’t post videos to a Pinterest via the mobile app, only via the desktop version.
  • Provides scheduling for Instagram stories but only via push notifications so you’ll have to use your mobile to actually post to Instagram stories.

If you are a start-up business and juggling a lot of things in your business you can use Later to ensure your content is going out at a certain time even whilst your busy. <span style="font-size: 15px;">You can batch upload videos and graphics and it stores them on via your account to schedule to schedule at another time. </span><span style="font-size: 15px;">If you’re more focused on posting to Instagram and Facebook stories multiple times a day then Later may frustrate you as you’ll have to post it yourself following the push notification sent to your mobile.</span>

Later allows me to schedule social media posts easily across multiple platforms. I can upload photos to the media library, and schedule posts on my mobile, tablet, or PC to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. I am the sole employee at my company and the sole user.
