We use NinjaOne as our primary patch compliance software. With NinjaOne, we are able to set different policies based on the Device or VM. We currently have 30+ VMs and 100-150 End user devices that NinjaOne manages patches for us. We also use the built-in ability to remote into those systems as needed. This makes life a lot easier for helpdesk to triage issues for our end users and our higher-level techs to fix any server issues or run maintenance. The dashboard gives you an at a glance view to see any potential issues with your environment. There are built in tools to help you automate tasks or run maintenance via the portals built in "CMD"like tool. We currently use splash top but I believe there are at least 2 other options for remoting into machines.

It is well suited if you want to easily manage your patching for your end points and servers. The remote function is easy and works well. There are more tools in NinjaOne that I have jet to take advantage of like NMS policies, VMware alerts, and other tasks. It is not well suited with its ticketing system. I gave this a try but was lacking functionality that I really need out of my ticketing system. The reporting was or is missing certain KPI data.

As an service desk member for an MSP, NinjaOne is the primary remote monitoring and connection software we use for client's endpoints and servers. The wide variety of features from remote connection to patching control groups, scheduled tasks, and backend CLI access enables me to efficiently manage hundreds of endpoints on different networks and organisations.
  • Remote screen sharing/control
  • Patch automation and control groups
  • Automated task scheduling that includes scripts with parameters
  • Endpoint resource monitoring
  • Event log display for endpoint events is often lean or not filterable
  • Connection errors with no error code/reason given
  • Easier cancellation of queued events such as scheduled reboots
One of our clients has multiple locations across the country, with a variety of user counts, needs, and internet connection types. Ninja One enables us to easily connect remotely to any endpoint to assist a user, maintain automatic updates of applications via patch management, and schedule reboots for endpoints where the user forgets to regularly reboot (often the cause of reported slowness).

An improvement for NinjaOne would be agents/better functionality for Android/Apple tablets, as we are finding that clients are implementing mobility solutions which we can only support by phone call.

Being a MSP (managed service provider) we use NinjaOne to Manage and maintain all of our clients endpoints and servers. Having a few hundred customers of various sizes, NinjaOne allows us to manage them all with ease. Being a PowerShell enthusiast, Having the ability to create and maintain a constant, persistent connection to the devices is super helpful.
  • PowerShell Persistent Connections
  • Single big picture view of all devices being managed
  • Deployment of scripts as system or as user
  • Big picture View of software installed across all (or specific set) of devices
  • ability to access NinjaOne Custom fields when running scripts as the user
  • ability to access NinjaOne agents whos ninja service is stuck
  • Ability to migrate clients from one MSP to another without having to rip and replace.
NinjaOne is well suited for MSP managing multiple Clients. NinjaOne is well suited for individual client use. NinjaOne does not cater well to those who need to do both. NinjaOne does not cater to Client Migration from one MSP to another or from Self hosted client migrating to being MSP managed.

NinjaOne is the best tool I have used to manage all my servers and computers and allows for great customer support for all their tech support needs.
  • Remote assistance
  • Remote management of all computers and servers
  • Pushing installs and updates to all workstations is amazing
  • More information on network management setup
  • Syslog reporting information
  • Some software updates tend to fail and need to be done manually
Helping users in remote locations so they don't have to wait for us to get over there to help them. Easy rollouts of new software and helping users get set up with whatever they need. Also, NinjaOne simplifies the ability to manage all my servers so I don't have to do everything manually.

We use NinjaOne as our Remote Management platform. This allows us to maintain remote access to all machines in our environment as well as a jump box to access remote networks. We are also about to roll out the ticketing platform to replace our SharePoint system. My helpdesk would be very difficult without an RMM solution to use and NinjaRMM solves that problem.
  • Installs from Intune with a high success rate
  • Has a built-in ticketing system
  • Offers other products like documentation
  • Offers other products like backups
  • Offers other products like MDM
  • Reporting capabilities for machines could be better
  • Provide a thumbnail image of the endpoint screen
  • Allow the ticketing platform to integrate with Power BI
If you are looking for an affordable solution to RMM that just works, you should consider using NinjaOne. Their platform allows you to lock down the installation and prevent uninstallation by end users, it allows for direct ticket integration within the sys tray icon, and it is a very consistent product that will stay running when it is in use. That is not always the case with RMM solutions and for the price, NinjaOne is great.

We are a Managed Service Provider and as such, we have many different clients in many different verticals with computer systems that we manage for them. NinjaOne allows us to leverage remote access tools, scheduled tasks, automations, alerting, patching, and anti-virus within one seamless portal. My engineers are able to save valuable time and not spend forever trying to connect to a client's system.
  • Remote connections: the NinjaRemote client is spectacular and very easy to use and navigate. It quickly connects to customer systems so my engineers are able to work. As a bonus, they also offer a really good mobile app to connect to client systems.
  • Antivirus: Bitdefender Endpoint Protection is built directly into the NinjaOne portal. This makes deploying and maintaining AV very easy.
  • OS Patching: NinjaOne makes it very easy to handle patching across multiple clients and locations. It is very easy to use and doesn't take long to set up.
  • Support: NinjaOne support is always very prompt and helpful.
  • Documentation: the NinjaOne Dojo is a one-stop shop for all of your FAQs, guides, and forum needs. You can find almost anything here to help you deploy and maintain NinjaOne.
  • Automation Library: NinjaOne comes preloaded with a large number of ready-to-go automations. They also provide you with a scripting module to create your own.
  • Reporting: has been a bit lackluster in the past but they just rolled out a new reporting module so it may have improved.
  • Dark Mode: this has been one of the most requested features on the roadmap. It needs to happen. Soon.
I have already recommended NinjaOne to multiple clients and will continue to do so. I have used DattoRMM, Kaseya, and Connectwise in the past and I personally feel that none of them are even in the same league as NinjaOne. If you have an IT environment that you need more insight on, NinjaOne is the way.

We use NinjaOne to manage out computers, provide support, remote access for IT support, OS and third party patching, scripts. The product helps us roll multiple solutions into one so it significantly simplifies our IT management. NinjaOne also can be used for remote work if necessary. The remote access screen sharing solutions they have are all very stable.
  • Granular interface that gives significant details about your devices.
  • Remote Access and management.
  • Simplifying OS and third party patching.
  • Their third party patch management is limited
  • Does not have a function to remote deploy, requires you to use another software or run their exe/msi package.
  • Patching sometimes fails to reboot
NinjaOne works best for managing a large quantity of computers. It eliminates most administrative overhead when it comes to patching, deploying, configuration, scripting, remote access. The screens are very intuitive and give direct access to each PC allowing admins to run commands on a command prompt screen or powershell screen.

Remote management of macs and windows machines. We have mostly all remote or hybrid workers and it is very difficult to connect with them in person, so NinjaOne helps us do so remotely.

We use NinjaOne to update patches, OS updates, and many applications remotely allowing us to keep our workforce on updated machines and allowing us to do so remotely.
  • Patches
  • Remote control
  • Updates
  • UI is a bit outdated
  • UI is somewhat clunky and hard to follow
  • UI can be very difficult to traverse unless you use it all of the time, it is not very intuitive.
Remote or hybrid workforce is perfect for using NinjaOne. Not as necessary if you are onsite with users at an office or other facility. Using NinjaOne to remotely control, update and monitor your user machines is a great option. If you were in a situation where you are all full time in the office, it might be less necessary, but would still be better to use NinjaOne

We recently switched to NinjaRMM from Goverlan/EasyVista to manage all our endpoints, remote control, device management, ticketing, etc. It helps us by having our ticketing software and our device management software in a single pane of glass. We're also beta testing MDM for our enterprise Android devices.
  • Single-pane-of-glass for all the management products
  • Automation is pretty easy to create/understand
  • Scalability of our business is easily managed
  • MDM is still in beta - definitely room for improvement, especially regarding admin control of a single device without changing the kiosk policy for all devices.
  • One thing I miss from our previous device management software is the ability to map network drives & add locally installed printers directly through the app without needing to disturb the end-user
  • End-user device login history - being able to see what devices a person has logged into over the last xx days
NinjaOne's automation capabilities are outstanding and they are easy to create, as long as you are familiar with PowerShell or are willing to learn. MDM still has a long ways to go, but it will get there eventually.

We use NinjaOne every day for accessing our clients' computers, checking their health, and setting up end-users to allow them remote access to their work computers. Being able to access a client's computer with the click of a button really makes this whole IT thing much easier (as long as Teamviewer works that is!)
  • Installing silently
  • Teamviewer integration
  • Anti-Virus install
  • Mobile App is missing features that the web version has
  • Reinstalling NinjaOne on a PC that had NinjaOne before can be a pain
  • NinjaOne updates a lot (not bad but sometimes I experience short downtime)
I've been working for Innerdigital for a little over a year now, and the whole time I've been with them, we have used a mixture of NinjaOne, Zoho, & Monday. Having these websites on hand really makes managing users much easier and honestly, I'm not sure what we would do without any of them!

NinjaOne has a great platform which has enabled our organization to streamline operations and achieve many objectives with a single platform. I have been impressed with both the wealth of features coupled with the ease of use. While evaluating products I had narrowed it down to NinjaOne and another competitor. The competing product may have been slightly more powerful, however the UI was much more convoluted and it seemed much more difficult to do simple processes. On top of that the Ninja team is very in-tune with its user base and works with its community in implementing new features and sharing their roadmap. With previous solutions I felt like once we purchased the product their team was done with us. With NinjaOne I think the opposite is true, once I joined the NinjaOne community their was even more communication and constant input, sharing of ideas, and sharing of script/automations between both the NinjaOne team and its community. I always try to keep an eye of new products that are out there, however I have not see anything that has all the features NinjaOne does. I am currently using NinjaOne for endpoint management, remote access with SplashTop, their bundled EDR solution and their built in ticketing system, backup system, and patch management.
  • Endpoint management
  • Automation
  • Remote Endpoint Access
  • Ticketing
  • Support for mobile devices
  • Better NMS monitoring
  • Better integration of EDR software
NinjaOne is a great solution for an all-in-one software suite that will accomplish many goals in a single pain of glass. It is very beneficial for small IT teams that need to automate and jobs as much as possible.

Patch management solution may not be the best if you have a large 3rd party software library.

NinjaOne is used internally as we have a very small IT team and remote workers. We are able to push out patches, remote monitoring, and various endpoint managment functions easily and efficiently.

Patch management is huge for us, especially since most users are seldomly in the offices and we have too many locations for two IT persons to cover.

We also use the Backup function to backup Windows laptops, again, since the users are not often in a location where a backup server is availalble.

  • Backups
  • Patch Management
  • Remote support
  • Monitoring and Alerting
  • Finding users/machines could be easier
  • Rather use an authenticator thank 2fa

We use NinjaOne to centrally manage our endpoints, enabling remote access, ensuring security through timely patches, and maintaining an inventory of all our devices. It provides a unified dashboard for managing devices across various locations, facilitates secure endpoint access, and keeps all systems updated to reduce vulnerabilities.

Additionally, NinjaOne offers real-time monitoring and alerts to prevent potential IT issues. Its inventory tool aids in tracking assets, validating software licenses, and aiding in procurement planning. Moreover, its reporting features help offer insights to our senior management about our IT infrastructure's status.

NinjaOne is crucial for our IT operations, allowing us to efficiently manage and secure our infrastructure while focusing on our core business objectives.

After covid hit we went from a virtual desktop solution for production employees to laptops. After being able to manage desktops virtually I needed a similar solution to manage all the laptops that suddenly appeared. I had barely started looking at solutions when one day I got a call from NinjaOne. I tried it out and loved it. It did everything I needed it to do - it gave me visibility and manageability for all my laptops (I ended up adding all physical desktops/laptops to it). We added the Splashtop for remote management and that was the perfect fit.
  • Clear insight into the machine - powered up, on the network, etc.
  • I can tell easily at a glance whether the machine is up to date on OS patches.
  • I can remote to the machine anywhere, as long as it has an internet connection and whether or not the user is logged in - a big plus.
  • This is a small point but for me has been important - I know which particular machine is where - I know it's hardware and firmware level.
  • I know NinjaOne can do much more but some of the scripting and implementing is intimidating and confusing. I believe it was written much more with a MSP in mind.
  • The scripting environment is not easy to understand. I haven't had time to learn it.
I think for a small one man shop with many remote employees something like NinjaOne is almost required. This was the solution I chose. I like it, it works well, even with my lack of knowledge of all the features, and the company is great. They really seem to care about their customers.
I would assume it would also be applicable in larger enterprise environments as well. But I really don't feel I can speak to that specifically.

We use NinjaOne for our RMM solution. We utilize it to remote into systems, network monitoring, backups, Microsoft and 3rd party updates, and to streamline our laptop setup process.
We previously used N-central, and we're very happy with our decision to make the switch. N-central had more features, but it was much more difficult to manage.
Every aspect of the product is easy to use. If you're looking into new RMM solutions, please ask the vendors how much they charge to implement the product, or if they know of consultants who can help implement their product for you. NinjaOne will help you with the implementation, but you won't need much help. Our team had never set up an RMM solution before, and we managed to get NinjaOne fully set up in under 4 weeks.
  • Updates
  • Backsup
  • Remote Access
  • Backups. The backups are powerful, but there aren't a ton of options.
  • Backups. We have had issues with cloud backups at sites with lower bandwidth.
  • Remote access. We've had to manually uninstall and reinstall teamviewer before, but its very rare.
I'm unsure if it would work well for a large-scale MSP. However, it is a very good solution for a small to large size company. The tool will allow you to run a lean team, because it will help you to drive automation.
We use NinjaOne at sites that have domain controllers and sites without domains. The product works great for both environments. Due to our complex environment, it's very nice that we're able to push out changes via NinjaOne instead of Group Policy.

NinjaOne is used for managing and monitoring all of our devices. The number of servers and workstations continually increases, and it's impossible to monitor it all manually. We used to have independent systems for everything, which made it difficult to remotely monitor and manage our devices. Now, everything is under one umbrella for a fair price. It reduces the time it takes to respond to issues. It also proactively alerts us of problems that we can resolve.
  • With Ninja, we are able to have all of our IT tools and management under one umbrella making it extremely easy to keep an eye on all of our servers and workstations.
  • Their support team is OUTSTANDING and gives quick and helpful answers to our questions. Our account manager calls us personally to review any issues and ensure we are running smoothly.
  • Ninja gives us automated patch management of our important devices, and has a nice security log to see what's been done.
  • The look and feel of their product sometimes feels outdated. It does not inhibit our work, it just could be modernized a bit.

We needed an RMM that better habdles patching of systems. NinjaOne is where we landed. lt made updating easy for both the OS and supported applications. We were able to deploy feature updates even, something out other RMM could not do. NinjaOne made it very easy to create the policies needed for each client and to get up and running in just a few minutes each.

NinjaOne has been amazing in getting patching done. What has put it above and beyond though is its scripting. It natively works with batch, powershell, and shellscript. This means custom scripting is simple and fast. Some times, especially with shellscripts, they do not run properly but in comes direct access to the different tools from the computer screen. Being able to connect to a system using powershell, CMD, or Shell means you can directly input commands and not rely on a script for those one off issues.

Since the pandemic we have migrated to users using laptops/mobile devices to work from home, and while the end users still need to be connected through a VPN or citrix to access corporate data, we found ourselves missing certain tools to access and manage devices once they were not directly connected to our internal network. This was the main reason which led us to use NinjaOne as a RMM solution. So at this point we use NinjaOne to access, deploy software, and manage issues when computers are both connected to our network or when they are just connected to the internet to help with general issues or if they are having issues connecting to our network.
  • Uses teamviewer to connect to devices whether they are on internal network or internet
  • Access to the command or powershell shell as the user or administrator
  • Enumerate installed software
  • Access to the registry even the HKCU
  • Software deployment
  • Layering policies - end devices can only be on one policy
  • alerting could be fine tuned a bit - often get to much
It is useful for when you have a mobile workforce, which seems a more frequent reality these days. If the device can get on the internet then you pretty much have access to manage it with NinjaOne. It has also allowed us to simplify using multiple tool, i.e. we were using Track-It for ticketing before and we have integrated the ticketing into NinjaOne. As more software becomes subscription based and renewal cost increase significantly we find ourselves simplifying to reduce costs since mainly we have a small team and not enough resources to maintain multiple specific software.

I think if you have a completely corporate network joined computers NinjaOne might not be the best tool but not because it can't do the job but just that you would be using a small subset of what it is capable of and there might be other products that might have a better price point for the more limited needs - each case has to justify the needs and budget. For us the fact that NinjaOne was replacing at least 3 other specific software made the cost viable and NinjaOne gave us to tools that we needed to manage the endpoints.

NinjaOne is a great "Swiss Army Knife" I am able to complete all patching with it. I also deploy new software with it. I am able to have monitoring setup on all machines. This allows me to be proactive instead of just reacting to everything. Some extra things I have been able to gain from NinjaOne is a software inventory list on what is installed on all my machines. This can be super helpful in getting old applications out of our environment. Its a great product and works really well.

We have a small IT department within our organization. We use NinjaOne to help reduce the workload on our system administrators. We can perform remote assistance for employees which helps save time from having to go desk-to-desk to provide help. We can remote deploy software and implement custom scripts to roll out software and perform monitoring of different aspects of the device. We also use NinjaOne to perform patch management on our all our systems. This allows us to support the hybrid OSes that we have in place. We can create schedules and automated tasks that allows us to not have to manually intervene in activities. Because this is a cloud solution, we can now monitor all users and devices, whether they work remotely or on premise. This has cut our time to resolution for end problems and has allowed us to move towards our goal of full automation in the workspace.
  • NinjaOne provides great patch management to support remote and on premise devices.
  • NinjaOne provides the ability to remotely support employees that are remote and on primise.
  • NinjaOne allows us to automate and gather information regarding our end points.
  • NinjaOne does support Mac, however I would like to have more options for automation and scheduled task on Mac devices.
  • I would like it if NinjaOne also provided an MDM solution.
  • It would be nice is NinjaOne could integrate a PAM solution as well.
NinjaOne is a great product that is easy to implement. It is of great value to our company. It is one of the central tools that we use to get our job done in supporting end users and their devices. It has become a cornerstone of how we interact with our employees. The price value of NinjaOne is great. It is a very cost-effective solution that provides great value. If you a looking for a RMM solution, this is the one for you.

We needed a solution to manage endpoints & network gear under a single pane of glass. Including a ticketing system was a selling point for my team, as it would replace multiple currently used products.
  • Clean interface
  • Windows updates are a simplified
  • The mobile app is convenient
  • The ticketing system (email) does not integrate with Office365
  • Does not integrate with Active Directory (we must create local NinjaOne accounts)
  • SNMP integration could be revisited. Only Cisco devices have config backup capabilities.
  • No option to remotely access network devices, like switches, routers, or firewalls.
I would highly recommend NinjaOne for smaller SMB environments. If you are over 150 endpoints, look elsewhere.
