What is Outlook4Gmail?

Outlook4Gmail is an Outlook add-in that helps users perform Google calendars sync with Outlook, as well as contacts and tasks sync. It also syncs Google calendars from multiple Google accounts with Outlook ones. The settings provide opportunities of duplicates check, their elimination and automatic data backup.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Outlook4Gmail helps me organize my email communications. It is easy to keep track of threads and folder all important communication. I recommend it to everyone who uses gmail. It takes the gmail chaos and makes it manageable.

  • Easy to folder and organize
  • Great searching capabilities

Cons

  • Needs improvement on scheduling emails for future delivery
  • Out of office feature - I use the gmail function
  • I would love my calendar to work through it. It may, but I haven't worked out how yet.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Outlook4Gmail within our company and by doing this we are able to keep our schedules, tasks emails and reminders all within easy to access parameters as well as make moving between the different screens smooth and efficient. Although there are a few small glitches here and there in the new updates, they are easy to get ironed out.

Pros

  • Keep schedule's accessible to all with access to the shared pages.
  • Moving from task to task and keeping track of messages related to those tasks.
  • Being able to move emails from folder to folder as well as monitoring those mails as needed.

Cons

  • Maintaining the shortcut when switching over from the old to the new.

Return on Investment

  • We have had issues with stuttering or delayed Emails with the old version, but with the new version things are running smooth.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Outlook for our entire operation. We have multiple offices and multiple people using emails within our corporation. We also have different emails for all of the 3 offices. This helps as a general manager to over see all of the different emails for all the offices. I have no problems with Outlook. It also keeps me on trac with meetings and appointments through out the offices.
