A review of using Referral Factory for affiliate marketing

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Referral Factory is an excellent tool we recently began using within our company. We had tried a couple of other referral software providers but would often struggle with some of our "less-techy" staff to create our campaigns, we only have two developers in our firm, the rest are either admin or project managers. So we were looking for a platform that did not require any coding experience. Once we found Referral Factory we were immediately pulled in by the clean UI and ease of setting up campaigns. As a result, all of our staff members are able to work on our campaigns with ease. I would certainly recommend this software to anyone looking for an easy way to create referral campaigns.

Pros

  • Easy to create campaigns
  • Clean interface
  • The analytics dashboard is excellent and we regularly use parts of it for our monthly meetings
  • No coding knowledge required

Cons

  • I would like the ability for further customisation of the shareable linked pages, such as adding brand colours within the template. (perhaps with a colour picker)
  • Build our own drag and drop templates.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for businesses that need the ability to create good-looking professional referral campaigns within a short time frame and do not have coding experience. I would say it is ideal for perhaps eCommerce site owners and store owners who want to launch referral programs but do not have the resources available within their company to assign a developer or someone with coding knowledge to set up and integrate.

Referral Factory Success!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Referral Factory to bring new hospitality clients into my business. It allows current clients to refer my business to other people they know in the same industry that need my products. Referral codes can be shared around multiple people and I can track where the referrals come from.

Pros

  • It is simple to understand and doesn't overly complicate the tasks it's needed for
  • It makes it easy to see the groupings of referrals from one person and how they rank
  • It allows you to customise your referral link and information with branding colours and fonts

Cons

  • There could be more choices of colours
  • Coupons section could be easier to understand with some details

Likelihood to Recommend

There are some great templates that suit a range of different businesses. This makes it easier and faster to make a referral. The statistics are detailed and the graphics are easy to understand.

Easy to set up and simple to manage

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Referral Factory completely solves my struggle to escalate my business. With affiliate marketing I am able to reach out way more people and Referral Factory helps me have the whole campaign organized in a simple and effective way. It's easy to navigate, to set up campaigns that are completely branded and to let my referrals get an extra income in a really easy way.

Pros

  • Easy to set up campaigns with my brand identity just by getting information from my website
  • Clear analytics
  • Easy to set up rewards

Cons

  • Just minor things in the campaign set up to become more intuitive. Overall it's great.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would say that Referral Factory is suited for people who already make over 4k a month with their business, since their pricing can be a roadblock for people who earn less. It's a good investment, but it's still not for every pocket.

It also requires that you spend a bit of time initially with all the set ups.

Easy to Set Up User-friendly Tool for Referral Marketing

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The use of the Referral Factory at Gamex Studio transformed how we manage clients' referral programs. Indeed, integration of the platform has allowed our clients the opportunity to enhance the effective management of referrals in their set of strategies. The referral reward systems for experts existed but were vastly improved by using a single, friendly interface for monitoring all key contributors in the referral chain and bringing the whole program management together.

For us, we designed custom referral programs matching the needs and branding of each client. That customization approach, therefore, led to high lead generation quality and big growth. Moreover, the seamless integration with various CRM systems has been a big moment, which ensured us a smooth transition of referral data into actionable insights that can guide strategic decisions.

The other feature is the export feature, used to export the referral list in a .csv file format, which has aided in managing our large list; hence, enabling the clients who deal with bulk referral information to work easier. Additionally, the ability to reward referrals in multiple currencies has given our globally operating clients the flexibility they need to run their programs in various markets with ease.

Pros

  • User-friendly and simple-to-use platform with AI tools to assist
  • Quick Integration capabilities with different CRMs
  • Different Campaign Templates to pick from
  • Advanced analytics

Cons

  • They can add some additional Personalization Variables that you can use (should be valuable to users)

Likelihood to Recommend

Referral Factory is well suited for example for software companies seeking to expand their user base through referral incentives and managing everything on a single platform.

Perhaps a bit less appropriate might be for the organizations that require highly customizable referral codes

Referral Factory - Review

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work in a digital marketing agency, and affiliate marketing is a part of our business routine. Referral Factory has helped to make this marketing channel more profitable and engaging, leading to more user registrations. They offer tools and integrations for referral programs, and setting up a campaign is done more or less quickly. So, if the company does not have advanced software for affiliate marketing, Referral Factory is a good choice.

Pros

  • Referral Factory offers good templates for the landing pages that can be easily adjusted
  • Campaigns are based on spreading links among friends and followers - it has good leads stats in the end
  • Integrations with Pipedrive, HubSpot and Zapier help to track the campaigns
  • Interface is easy to understand

Cons

  • Pricing could be improved. Starter package should include team access
  • It would be great to allow to use own HTML. Now it is possible only at the enterprise level
  • There should be more options to customise dashboards

Likelihood to Recommend

The tools of Referral Factory are suitable for businesses with limited advertising budgets that need to grow their customer base. They are based on the existing customer base that will promote a business to friends and followers. This is how we use them. It is essential to have a list of emails or accounts that follow your brand or company. The more active clients you have, the more referrals you can make.

We kept contacts in Pipedrive and synchronized the lists with Referral Factory, which helps to use the existing lists of customers to spread the promos to their circle of friends.

Of course, the campaign will not be successful when the company has a list of only a few emails.

Smooth product, awesome ROI, can work with any customer facing industry

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Referral Factory to encourage current and past customers to promote my photography services. In freelance word of mouth is a key driver of new business and having a solid referral program is very important especially for a smaller business trying to gain more customers.

Pros

  • Generating referral links for specific individuals so I can track how much they are sharing it and provide incentives to those who get the most clicks.
  • Tracking referral sources are flexible and easy to use.
  • Creating multiple referral campaigns.

Cons

  • The UI needs some improvement to really smooth out the workflows. Overall it's not bad, but could always be better.
  • There isn't good documentation on how to configure and use the solution. It's like they assumed they built to be obvious enough to where anyone can figure it out, but for things that have more nuances, users could really benefit from some tooltips and/or documentation.
  • Pricing is pretty high, it would be nice to have a lower tier so businesses with a small income stream can start to benefit from referral programs.

Likelihood to Recommend

The solution is great for SaaS based business models, but it's also effective for businesses who primarily rely upon online marketing (who doesn't these days?) and word of mouth to grow their business. It's a great product for people who are looking to jumpstart their client base.

Quickly launch your referral program

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Referral Factory mainly to quickly launch and test our referral program before building it within our product. While we wanted to increase our customer acquisition organically, we were just not sure about whether a referral program is the right strategy or not considering smaller customer base. That’s why before building it within our product, we wanted to test our hypothesis and validate what incentives works best for our customer. Our scope was simple, provide an option to existing customer who were happy with the product to share a referral link. Once a new customer signup through link and create their first booking, incentives will be provided to both.

Pros

  • Simple flow for building referral program
  • Quick & easy Integration to take it live
  • Detailed analytics on how the program is performing
  • Easily tweak the program in case something is not working

Cons

  • Obviously it has limited customisation or config
  • Maybe just providing options to run A/B experiments with different incentives would help in quickly optimising campaigns
  • Sometimes it gets challenging to interpret analytical data as well

Likelihood to Recommend

It depends on the stage of your company. If your goal is to quickly test and validate referral program without investing too much dev effort then it’s a great tool. Similarly, if you don’t have dedicated developers to work on building referral programs then also it works the best. If you already have tech bandwidth and you are looking to scale your program after a certain point, then it might not be suitable, as the cost of using the product is difficult to justify.

Would recommend to a friend

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Referral Factory for many of my clients' referral programs. The platform itself is great, no/low-code, so my clients have the ability to make changes to their copy, their content and other marketing touch points, while I can focus on building the implementation into their systems.

Their integrations work well and are powerful enough that you really don't need any code at all, but in some of the cases of my clients, I have needed to use their APIs and webhooks, and for me, that is a great combination of tooling. We can build the custom integrations, but leverage the easy-to-use landing page builder, and email tools.

Pros

  • Landing Pages for Referral Programs
  • Rewards
  • API / Webhook Integration
  • Email Communication Tools (Transactional/Marketing)

Cons

  • Complex UI at times (but it improves frequently)
  • Multiple Integrations per Account

Likelihood to Recommend

It's a full suite platform. If you need easy to use software, that can get you from zero to one, in terms of building your campaign, with a strong support team and staff that are really knowledgeable about referral marketing, the industry and trends, and don't need very custom landing pages (without building yourself through their API) then Referral Factory should be your go to.
