Overall Satisfaction with Referral Factory

We used Referral Factory mainly to quickly launch and test our referral program before building it within our product. While we wanted to increase our customer acquisition organically, we were just not sure about whether a referral program is the right strategy or not considering smaller customer base. That’s why before building it within our product, we wanted to test our hypothesis and validate what incentives works best for our customer. Our scope was simple, provide an option to existing customer who were happy with the product to share a referral link. Once a new customer signup through link and create their first booking, incentives will be provided to both.
  • Simple flow for building referral program
  • Quick & easy Integration to take it live
  • Detailed analytics on how the program is performing
  • Easily tweak the program in case something is not working
  • Obviously it has limited customisation or config
  • Maybe just providing options to run A/B experiments with different incentives would help in quickly optimising campaigns
  • Sometimes it gets challenging to interpret analytical data as well
  • For us, it helped in saving tech bandwidth while we were testing our referral program.
  • It definitely helped us in saving at least $3k in developer costs as we built our program after validating everything.

Did implementation of Referral Factory go as expected?

Would you buy Referral Factory again?

Yes

It depends on the stage of your company. If your goal is to quickly test and validate referral program without investing too much dev effort then it’s a great tool. Similarly, if you don’t have dedicated developers to work on building referral programs then also it works the best. If you already have tech bandwidth and you are looking to scale your program after a certain point, then it might not be suitable, as the cost of using the product is difficult to justify.
