Multiple account management and analysis. [Skai] Kenshoo allows us to save time on individual account analysis and changes by leveraging their bulk action feature and automated actions. Also, account analysis through [Skai] Kenshoo is faster, time-saving, and more efficient as we have more time to focus on data than making manual changes.

There were some accounts that were targeting multiple states, very large targeting, and product inventory. I started leveraging Skai (Kenshoo) smart bidding and performance started to skyrocket, then I learned that Kenshoo's smart bidding works best with high volume campaigns, so I started using their bidding system with high volume campaigns and started to see performance improvement across those accounts.

We use Skai to manage the Ecomm and Search at our agency. It helps us to organize our accounts, launch new campaigns, make optimizations and conduct reporting. It helps us with algorithmic bidding as well, not to invest so much time in manual optimizations.

Skai helped our client to improve their ROAS within Amazon Search. Their algorithmic bidding has a thoughtful structure [that] helps to improve performance, with easy goal adjustment to push more volume or higher profitability. Other similar platforms like Marin use more complicated bidding portfolios, whereas Skai allows for easy setup and management by setting a single goal.

We used Kenshoo to manage all of our paid search reporting, asset management, and bid management. We primarily use it in our digital performance marketing department. This tool allows the team to be significantly better with our internal efficiencies and media management, and it helps our clients by optimizing placements and settings from a platform-agnostic perspective.

Great if you have lots of data

Our organization used Kenshoo to help manage all the brands we represented. It allowed us to quickly roll out new campaigns and new brands when needed. One of the largest problems that Kenshoo solved dealt with all the tracking information that was appended to our click ads. In the past, we had to rely on hardcoded, and sometimes error-prone methods to update this information.

Pros

  • Build URLs are helpful.
  • Solid algorithms for optimizing campaigns with simple goals.

Cons

  • We found that the help we received varied greatly due to new account reps being assigned our account.
  • The software is a bit slow and clunky at times, especially when compared to working directly in the platform.

Likelihood to Recommend

Kenshoo is best suited for agencies who manage campaigns with simple goals, or lots of volume. Medium-sized and smaller campaigns will not qualify for the better optimization options, and you will be left managing them manually or through Google's platform.

One of the best parts of Kenshoo is that you are not relying on Google to make your bids for you. So, if you question if Google has your best interest in mind when auto bidding, then a service like Kenshoo is a good alternative.

We are using Kenshoo as a bid management tool for paid search &amp; social campaigns with Pinterest, Amazon and search engines. Kenshoo provides a one stop shop for bid management and account optimization and control. Kenshoo integrates with all major publishers and has an easy to use interface and nice user experience.

  • Layout not as clear as traditional engines.
  • DoubleClick offers easier integration with [search] engines.

We used Kenshoo across departments for both search and social. It aggregates multiple sources of data and allows for optimization.

Pros

  • Decent bidding algorithm
  • Ability to clone campaigns for testing or across engines

Cons

  • Clunky interface. Reporting & column defaults are not intuitive.
  • Certification program is not helpful.
  • Though their ability to address case issues is better than in past years (self-service ticketing system to now: ability to address cases with reps), still a lot left to be desired.

Likelihood to Recommend

Kenshoo is great for more complex accounts, specifically with clonability and bid algorithm. Competitors are still consistently better with reporting, education/support, and interface technology.

Kenshoo Infinity Suite is being used by the department managing the search engine marketing initiatives for a number of client accounts. Kenshoo Search specifically allows teams to manage multiple vendor/engine accounts within a single platform, streamlines reporting and improves the efficiency in the day-to-day management and execution of paid search campaigns.

Pros

  • "Advanced search" is an excellent feature that is frequently used to execute on optimization best practices.
  • Robust reporting options.
  • Clean UI; user-friendly/easy to navigate.

Cons

  • The desktop application, Kenshoo Editor could use an overhaul. Newly created campaigns often do not sync with the engines.

Kenshoo is a fine option for advertisers who need a solid bid management solution that needs to manage campaigns across multiple engine accounts and channels (search, social, and local). Kenshoo Infinity Suite may be less appropriate for advertisers who only manage less than a couple accounts/channels and Marin or DoubleClick may be a better option.

Kenshoo Search is currently being used across the entire org. We use it to build and manage the paid search programs for all of our clients. Specifically, we use it to help with bid management, portfolio and budget optimization and ongoing reporting in order to help us deliver on our clients' goals. It also helps with being able to manage all of our channels in one place.

  • You need to be a seasoned search manager to pick it up quickly
  • Some things could be more self serve than they are currently

If you have a complex search program, Kenshoo is as good as it gets. If you're a small player, it likely isn't a good fit.
