I normally use to view and create dashboards viwing data from different sources like postgres, snowflake even excels stored in Teams....with prep builder I do the flow and ingest the data in Tableau Cloud and after that i can use this info that can be automatically updated to enrich the dashnoads that containsinfo from the databases

Its great visualizating data
calculated fields are great
the appreance is clean and simple

Cons

better ways to show the data, I mean I came from Excel and SQL and to change some details to do more similar could be great to do the things easier becuase all pepople first has been used Excel and then go an step furhter and use Tableau Cloud or Looker etc.

Return on Investment

I believe that 20%-25% becuase if you dont see porperly the data you can not appply propper decisions

Tableau allows my team and the entire company to visualize important KPIs that are key to reaching business goals.

I use Tableau every day to check performances and report them back to the different stakeholders in the company, as well as filling the forecast.

Tableau is great for visualizing time series and being able to compare YoY, QoQ, WoW or DoD, as well have having the chance to switch between rates and row numbers.

heaviness of the the dashboards: when the number of data is great, the dashboard start to lag and it is getting difficult to update.

negative impact: granularity of data - if the dashboard needs to have a lot more data (like millions of rows) to be used to deep dive, the dash lag
