We used Udemy in Customer Success Enablement to create custom learning paths for our team, particularly for certain skill trainings for which we did not have an in-house subject matter expert. Obviously, sharing access to a tool like Udemy org-wide instead of hiring subject matter experts for every conceivable topic saves money.
Pros
Ability to customize learning paths
Range of topics available to learn
Pleasant UI; not too busy
Cons
I had no complaints when using Udemy!
Likelihood to Recommend
Udemy had a wide range of topics that allowed me, the enablement manager, to slice up courses and create custom learning experiences for our employees. Further, I was even able to find most of the technical subjects I needed for our professionals who needed trainings for code as this certainly wasn't something I could teach. Therefore, Udemy was appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.
We use Udemy Business for almost all our learning programs: Software Engineer trainings, Leadership Academies, Train the trainers courses, personal development, and we create our own courses for onboarding
Pros
It is a well structure platform that can work as an LMS
User intuitive for admins
The reporting dashboard is clear and self-managed
Cons
The teaching interface is poorly designed for handling assignments and quiz results
They could add more options to their quiz types as pairing or other evaluation methodologies
Likelihood to Recommend
Udemy Business is a great tool for specific training needs, especially related to software and technology (AI, development, frameworks, etc). They have an extensive offer and different levels of depth. On regards soft skills, there is less content, and sometimes it is very repetitive.

One of the things I value most about Udemy Business is how quickly it allows me to upskill when a client project calls for a new platform or technique. Whether I need to sharpen my skills in Figma prototyping, dive into Webflow development, or refresh my motion graphics work in After Effects, I can find a high-quality course and get up to speed within days. It keeps me flexible, responsive, and confident in taking on a wide range of client needs without missing a beat. A significant area where Udemy Business could improve is in ensuring consistent course quality. While the platform offers a vast array of courses, the quality can vary significantly between offerings. Some courses are outdated or lack depth, which can be frustrating when seeking comprehensive and current information. Implementing a more rigorous vetting process for course content and instructors would help maintain a higher standard across the platform.
At my organization, Udemy Business helps us in continuous learning of knowledge.

Udemy Business is primarily used as a development tool for team members. It is used to refresh knowledge or upskill across any areas of relevance to their current role, roles they're wanting to work towards, or for general interest topics. The diversity of topics and skill levels across the site is extremely useful for a range of team members.
Pros
Wide range of topics.
Self-driven learning.
Certification awards.
Different levels of learning.
Cons
A more straightforward layout would be good.

Udemy Business is well suited for an organisation to support multi-disciplinary self-motivated learning from employees. Some of the courses involve valuable work upskilling such as Excel or programming courses, and some are more interest-based, such as languages. It is good to utilise if there is a small learning/engagement team in the business as it runs self-sufficiently.
Udemy Business is helping our team in developing and testing by providing learning from various courses of our use and it is helping to enhance the skills of every team member, Sometimes when we try to develop or test , various cases are left, and sometimes integrations and all don't work as per our knowledge, so Udemy makes it easy for setting up the program through their courses.
Pros
It provides Certfication and helps in specializing the skills
Provides a Platform fot Personal development
It also helps for Cross Department Training
Cons
It should also provide an option for LIVE classes or it should have a platform tto connect with the course owner , so that doubts can be clear.
We can customize course as per are need should be provided.
It should provide games instead of Test, so that user can feel more interacted in learning.

Udemy Business is well suited in some scenarios where it helps our team and new interns to onboard in team or particular project and helps in initial training , it provides certification and through learning , skills would be lifelong. I prefer it should be kinda more interactive and should have various platform like chats and all which could clear the doubts
Udemy Business provides a wide selection of courses so everyone can find something they want to learn. Great selection of business issues with easy solutions to implement immediately.
the main issue is the differences between the instructors. Some are awesome while some are difficult to understand even if they know their subject.
the best courses are those that provide a certificate at the completion of the course.
Pros
On demand learning to fit in with work agendas
choice of topics
Being able to stop and start when needed.
Certificate of completion for many courses
Cons
Choice of instructors can be difficult since their accents can be strong.
I would like more business topics on specific areas of marketing
It would be great to have a series of topics that build to an executive level qualification
Udemy for Business is used in my organisation mainly to keep all stakeholders updated about latest tech stack and how the knowledge can be leveraged to build better products. For new employees, Udemy for Business is a great place to learn about tech stack used by the company and for experienced folks, it provides insights what enable product managers and engineers to build better and more reliable product which meets evolving needs of users. Udemy for Business also helps us to learn how to teach the performance of a product or initiative and iteratively improve it over time to enhance user experience and contribute positively to the company
Pros
Udemy for Business is my first preference for Understanding basic concepts of latest technology
Udemy for Business provides curated content for diverse use cases across technology, business, strategy, etc. It helps improve the process of decision making
As a product manager, I prefer permanent solutions over quick fixes. Referring to Udemy for Business courses on product management has helped me greatly to improve my product
Stakeholder management is an important aspect of any business and there are amazing content in Udemy for Business that helps master this art
Cons
The self learning part of assignments that I see in Udemy for Business are oversimplified and does not reflect actual complex scenarios that we see in major corporate offices. While it's easier to understand a course if the assignment is simple, Udemy for Business needs to have courses on more complex topics
The content is generic in nature and is not tailored at an individual or professional level. For example, If I'm a product manager for pricing, I will find ton on courses which explains about existing pricing strategies. This is the basic thing and what i'm looking for is something that goes beyond these basic concepts
there are too many courses that explains the same concept with almost 90% overlap. Finding the right content takes lot of time. It would be great if Udemy for Business could tell me what is the percentage overlap with the courses that I have already taken and recommend me better courses based on my needs
Likelihood to Recommend
Udemy for Business is well suited if you are stepping into a new domain or a new role as Udemy for Business has a large repository of amazing content will help you get complete context of a domain or role and will help you greatly for first few months (or even a year).
Additionally, if you are are looking for new technologies or software for your company/team and need to get a detailed understanding about whether it will be a right fit, Udemy for Business is the place to go as you will find detailed information about all softwares, technologies and you will also know if it will be the best fit for your use case.
However Udemy for Business is not the right place if you well established in your domain or role as there is not enough content in Udemy for Business that will help you navigate complex requirements/ use cases that you will encounter at higher designations. Morever, if you don't have enough free time, you will not prefer Udemy for Business as you will waste lot of time to find the right content.
