Every aspect works well for my company. My managers love the auto-fill option for the scheduling. Comes in very handy when you are scheduling over 150 employees. The reports even on the cheaper option are very useful for me to follow-up with employee call-outs, no-shows, etc. Even though they do not connect to my payroll system the payroll report is easy to use to transfer information.
The whole organization uses this software to manage their schedules, time off, etc. It is a great tool to help management avoid additional schedule changes since it allows employees to set their availability and time off all in one app. It also helps managers avoid over staffing by allowing weekly limits on shifts.

When I Work is great! Very convenient, flexible, and easy to use. It allows people to clock in and out through the app and request time off, set preferred schedules, and even trade shifts that are up for grabs. It may be difficult to navigate if you have a variety of different supervisors or people that need to be notified or approve time off and schedules.
Our main objective when we started using When I Work was that we had the possibility to keep a more exact control for the tasks that had to be completed by a specific employee, When I Work offered us very good expectations and promised us the ability to have an administration of working hours that would allow us to be more productive in the long term. This platform was implemented in the most important areas of our company, such as the Marketing, Sales, Finance and Customer Service sectors. For us, it has been totally beneficial to make use of this platform, since it met each of our expectations and provided favorable results in a very short time.

My employees can view the corresponding working hours easily and without presenting any type of confusion. In my user panel I can manage all the schedules of my employees without presenting confusion, the administration process is very easy and it is one of the things I like the most about this platform.
When I Work has a chat system that connects all employees. The chat system is very essential in this platform because it allows our employees to carry out a planning of working hours. Our employees can send messages instantly to plan the days, exchange them and postpone them. In addition, the chat system is always active, so that planning is more accurate.
We use Square to be able to have a payroll system that is much more punctual with payments. When I Work has been a very complete integration with the payroll system, we have been able to integrate both platforms and have obtained surprising results. Our payroll system receives all the work information of my employees who use When I Work.

I have not presented any problem in relation to the functionality of the platform, I have never witnessed any type of error during the daily use of When I Work.
When we started using this platform, several questions arose about how to configure the collection and transfer of data to our payroll system. The When I Work Support team is one of the things that I did not like, because the support took a long time to give me a solution to my doubts and this caused me to have to hire a specialist to help me configure When I Work. I am not satisfied with the user support that When I Work has, very poor.

This is a constant monitoring system which allows employees to complete their tasks in the indicated time, When I Work sends automated alerts when an employee is not complying with their tasks and this allows us to know exactly the productivity we are having in each one of the sectors. It is an excellent platform for planning and administration of working hours, it has a very easy-to-use UI that allows schedules to be easily managed. Without a doubt, When I Work would be a perfect implementation for any sector or company, since it has a lot of potential to collect exact data on compliance with working hours.
When I Work is primarily used by the delivery drivers to coordinate schedules and ensure that just the right amount of people are working at the required times. It has a great tool that allows you to sign up for shifts and then request others take your shift. It will send a message to the coworkers so they can view whether they could do it.

When I Work is being used company-wide across all eight locations. We use it for schedule coordinating and publishing, group chat between the entire company as well as individual stores, time off requests and shift coverage, etc. It gives our staff a platform for covering their own shifts if they cannot work without having to share their personal information with people they don't know. Management is able to share weekly specials, make company-wide announcements, etc. without having to use their personal phone. Management can see contact information for all employees company-wide, as well as all schedules. This saves a ton of time when trying to find coverage for the restaurant.

When pulling up the schedule on the app, it defaults to Tuesday when the screen is done loading.
If you pull up an individual's schedule it removes your default settings. For example, I have mine set to just my store, but if I need to see an employee's schedule it resets those defaults. You're always looking at the last schedule you pulled up.

When I Work has been extremely helpful in coordinating schedules between 8 different locations. It allows you to see each employee's schedule so you save time by seeing who is actually working and who is off that could potentially fill an opening. The group chat allows us to alert everyone at once when we have specials, encounter an issue with our POS system, etc. This saves an immense amount of time for our upper management and store managers.

Understanding their charges is a pain. I still don't know what I am paying for.

Not great if you have multiple types of employees. We have salaried, hourly, and work at home hourly. Their platform cannot accommodate all types of employees. They sold me something that they went back and said was not actually what they sold me on trying to accommodate. They don't even know their own product. Can't get someone on the phone to help, so you're stuck trying to type your issues out. It never got resolved but not worth the hassle to move to a new platform right now.
For an event I coordinated, I chose to use When I Work last summer. I had volunteers and employees working on my team, and I needed a way to coordinate their travel schedules as well as our actual work schedules before, during, and after the event. When I Work helped me see what times of each day I was in need of more help, and where everyone would be when.

I loved that there is a When I Work app, so that volunteers and employees can have access to the schedule all the time. This was essential for us since some of our people were international and couldn't always access their computer/internet, but could connect to wi-fi easily in public places. The ability to track when tasks were completed was essential as well.
We use When I Work for all of our hourly employees. We have used a web-based pay clock for many years. When I Work has been the most effective solution we have found to-date.
