Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting (formerly Abila MIP)
MIP Fund Accounting is used primarily by the accounting department for all accounting and payroll functions. Other departments have read-only access to run reports.
- The chart of accounts table structure makes it easy to "slice and dice" information in many different ways.
- I can track financial activity by account, department and program.
- MIP Fund Accounting has an excellent audit trail.
- Payroll integrates seamlessly with accounting.
- Since MIP took over MIP from Sage there has been a noticeable reduction in quality. Basic reports don't always work right. For example, the Expanded General Ledger stopped giving correct subtotals for accounts with no current activity.
- Another example: Exporting a trial balance into a CVS file will not generate any credit balances.
- Efficient data entry.
- Easy access to information.
- Easy export of data to other software.
MIP Fund Accounting is far superior, due primarily to chart of accounts table structure.
