Use Cases and Deployment Scope

MIP is mostly used by our Finance department.
It allows us to have an extended GL so that we can run reports either by location, department and/or program. It is very versatile. Very rarely is there a problem with the MIP software. We also have financial statements that it allows us to customize, which is one of the very good features.

Pros and Cons

It allows you to customize the G/l according to your needs.
It allows you to customize the way you run reports according to the company's preferences.
The accounts payable feature is a very good feature where it allows you to code in advance if the vendor will be receiving a 1099.
The 1099 feature is a great tool as well where a vendor/client is not missed in receiving a 1099 because it allows you to note it as you enter the vendor into the system.

Abila could have a more customized payroll system where it can be customized according to the company's preferences.
The human resource feature could be extended to be in compliance with the law and run reports for the affordable care.
When attaching a document to your entry it should allow for you to default to the encrypted type where now it defaults to the linked and you have to remember to always check the encrypted.

Return on Investment

There are many other accounting programs that are out there and a lot more but they do not allow you to do what MIP allows you to do.

Effectiveness at Managing Multiple Fund Sources

Since we are a non profit organization and have Missionaries all over the world it surely does help us to customize our reports accordingly and give each missionary a statement of their activity.
