Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We use Absorb to provide our partners with self-paced learning content and facilitated sessions. Absorb allows us to easily manage the learning content we offer, as well as and provide necessary reporting to check course completions, attendance and so on.

Pros

  • Manage users
  • Manage courses

Cons

  • I think more customisation options of templates would be helpful (e.g. resizing of tiles, easily change headings and sub headings of tiles in the templates section, have the ability to change each tile's sub-headings, easily adjust image sizes, fonts etc.)
  • I think settings/functionality need to be better organised (more intuitive). For example, to change the subtitles of a tile, you need to jump into the 'Translation' section in the admin side, search for specific words to make such changes. You should be able to do this directly within the templates.
  • Streamlined learner onboarding
It's not very intuitive at times, especially when it comes to editing/customising templates (as previously mentioned) and creating/editing courses. When creating courses it can be a little confusing/tedious as I need to click on each icon in order to open up specific course menu options (I know there's a glossary at the bottom but always having to scroll down to refer to each icon can get tedious so I end up just clicking on each icon to get to the menu option I need). Much improvement is needed on the user interface side.

Absorb is great for managing courses and learners but when it comes to customisation and ease of use, that's where Absorb falls short.
