Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

Acumatica is our single source of truth ERP system. We use it to manage our construction projects, purchasing and warehouse management. It enables our project managers to make quick decisions with real time data. Prior to using Acumatica, the data in our ERP system was delayed up to 5 weeks.

Pros

  • Connectivity anywhere
  • Real time data that supports actionable decisions
  • Material management

Cons

  • OCR for receiving material. Scan the packing slip, verify the info and approve. Done
  • Project Scheduling tools that supports construction projects and services
  • Integrated work packages that would work like an activity task but have all the work instructions, drawings and specs accessible from the field
  • project managers have visibility to financials in real time instead of weeks
Quicker turnaround on AP an AR
Although it could be a little better the project cost projections have helped our organization better control cost and understand the health of the company. It provides better visibility to project backlog and with the CRM module we can compare that to our BD funnel enabling leaders to have better insights to industry trends and where we could spend more time nurturing specific customers or industries and which one we may be spending too much time on.

I have found that Acumatica works well for construction but could use some improvement. Specifically the dashboards are lacking and the ability to for users to share dashboards would be a great feature. I cant think of an industry where it doesn't work well. More features for supporting construction field managers would be helpful like construction progress and material requests portal.
