Use Cases and Deployment Scope
It’s a manufacturing company, so we use it for accounting—accounts payable and receivables. We also use it for the shipping department, for manufacturing to report products that are done. We’re also using the MRP for our purchasing department, and for production—creating the BOMs and keeping inventory levels and demand up to date.
Pros
- I love the fact that we could go ahead and create BOMs to make end products, and with that, it also generates demand, so we can fulfill the materials needed to be able to sell our customers products and eventually make the sales.
Cons
- Acumatica has been growing and keeps changing. I think the only thing I would say is it should be a little more user-friendly, especially when creating reports, without having to go into the programming of queries and all of that. That’s where I think it needs to be a bit more user-friendly.
Return on Investment
- I think it has had a very positive impact on the company because now, visually, with the reports that Acumatica provides, we know where the company stands in terms of sales, inventory, and the whole process. So I think it has been a plus.
- And I don’t recall—we have had some hiccups because Acumatica has been growing throughout the years—but nothing that has not been able to be fixed.
