Another Adobe Acrobat Review.
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
We utilize Adobe Acrobat to create custom forms for our clients, or to turn non-fillable PDFs into fillable PDFs. Our office currently has three licenses for our team members. Adobe is necessary in our world, and we utilize it daily.
Pros
- Auto-detecting fillable fields
- Converting word or excel documents into PDFs
- Creating a password-protected document
Cons
- I find the updated interface less functional than the prior version
- I miss being able to make a one-time purchase of Adobe rather than a monthly subscription
- Adobe needs to add a broader world of text, or the ability to convert all text in a document to a different type without selecting individual boxes
- Preparing/Editing a Form
- Securing a PDF
- Removing/separating pages into individual documents
- Other
Given the number of PDFs we need to work with and/or manipulate, purchasing Adobe Acrobat was simply a necessity.
- Increased operational efficiency
- Increased productivity
- Ultimately, I believe the product more or less breaks even from an economic standpoint as it pays for itself based on the increased efficiency and productivity, however it makes my staff much happier not needing to print and hand write on non-fillable PDFs so it is a win from a team satisfaction standpoint.
We have had no direct issues with Adobe from a breach or compliance issue, and thus we appreciate their dedication in this area. We do enjoy being able to create secure PDF files, which allows us to feel more confident in sending certain documents containing personally identifiable information.
