Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

Adobe is a very functional and useful software that I utilize daily for various tasks. For example, among other uses, I use Adobe (i) to save all scanned documents in my legal practice, (ii) to sign documents that I need to sign and email to third parties,(iii) to save comparison documents created between different versions of a document, (iv) to download and save documents from online resources, (v) to edit PDF copies, (vi) to reorganize pages in a document, and (vii) combine one or more PDF documents into a single document. I find Adobe to handle a large number of the daily tasks I need to accomplish with respect to the documents that I create and or receive from third parties.
  • To save all scanned documents in my legal practice.
  • To sign documents that I need to sign and email to third parties,
  • Save comparison documents created between different versions of a document
  • To download and save documents from online resources, to edit PDF copies, to reorganize pages in a document, and (vii) combine one or more PDF documents into a single document.
  • I want the PDF editing to be easier to accomplish. Sometimes, the box-like shapes that it forms over certain words become problematic when I add words to one box and then find that the first box now overlaps the second box. If not fixed, when you exit the editing mode, one is left with the words in the first box overlapping the words in the second box, often making the overlapped words illegible. Fixing the overlap issue would be most helpful (or having an easier workaround fix for a user like me. I am not sure I like the feature that allows you to change the angle of the box, as in drafting documents, this is not generally necessary and again can create a problem, e.g., while attempting to enlarge a box to add text, you inadvertently change the angle of the box from horizontal.
  • Scanning to PDF documents.
  • Organizing and editing PDF documents.
  • Signing PDF documents.
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
One that I have not previously addressed is that every recipient of an Adobe-created PDF document can easily open that document. I have never been told, "I cannot open your attachment when it was an Adobe-created PDF document!
  • I am so accustomed to the benefits that I rely upon it multiple times a day that it is hard to quantify ROI. Its functionality must save me an hour a day, which would create an ROI of 20 to 1, or more.
  • When I send out signature copies, I can lock the document so that no changes can be made.
  • The ability to edit and organize PDF documents with Adobe makes me far more productive in that I do not have to retype and format the document.
I can rely on the documents that I create, sign requests for signatures with Adobe, and know that all of this is happening in a secure environment.
