Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
I use it for basic functions like filling and signing PDFs, merging or cutting documents, and sometimes for redaction or other related tools. It's a great tool for doing shared document review, with the ability for multiple contributors to add comments and highlights to the same shared doc.
Pros
- Redaction (text and metadata)
- Shared document review and comments
- Filling and signing PDFs
Cons
- Some lag, slow scrolling sometimes
- Can be difficult to navigate around long documents
- Zoom function on large page size docs doesn't work that well
- Makes getting documents signed in order really easy so has got decision makers and our probity team on board
- Reduced review time and errors as people can more easily work on shared review rather than sending individual docs
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
Needs to work well with existing systems to be used fully e.g. with SharePoint, must be able to be accessed via that platform. It would be pretty pointless if it wasn't able to be opened through our main records management system!
It means our probity and contract teams are comfortable having this used as the primary platform to share and sign sensitive documents such as contracts, tenders, other legal docs etc.
It offers functionality that the office suite just doesn't really seem to dabble in e.g. locking down documents or proper redaction abilities.
