Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat is used in many ways working in Human Resources at a school. Organizing documents sent to us with multiple pages that need to be individualized, Adobe Acrobat makes the task simple and easy to complete. We sought out signatures internally and externally for our organization, and Adobe Acrobat is the most efficient way to execute this as the document can be signed without requiring the recipient to download Adobe Acrobat or sign up for an account. Using Adobe Acrobat in tandem with Canva as well for employee notices, extra curricular postings, and more. For company policies and procedures, Adobe Acrobat is a great way for multiple supervisors to collaborate on a document together before its finalization. Adobe Acrobat keeps all records of changes made to any document, with the ability to leave comments for your collaborators, and more. Adobe Acrobat is a valuable asset to any organization or educational system.
Pros
- Organizing large documents and saving individual document from them.
- Editing or updating existing documents within the organization to keep up with most current versions.
- Collecting signatures internally and externally for the organization.
- Drafting policies and procedures that require multiple collaborators and contributors.
- Protecting documents from being edited or modified without permission or by ill intent.
- Great for sending multiple photos in one document!
- Great for document progress, for example, keeping record of who makes edits, when the edits are made, and what edit was done to the document.
Cons
- Adobe Acrobat desktop app could do more to keep up with the capabilities of signing into the Adobe account online.
- Organizing pages to save them individually should be done with less clicks.
- More options to choose from in terms of fonts, colors, etc.
- A positive is that Adobe Acrobat saves us time when sending out documents for signature.
- Adobe Acrobat saves us time when drafting agreements or policies that are pending delivery.
- Adobe Acrobat saves us room in our brain with its time stamps and auditing trail of certain documents.
- The desktop app could improve, as sometimes they capabilities aren't synced. that is when I have to log into the desktop account to complete a task.
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
Ease of Use: A lot of software applications are not easy to navigate or easy to learn. Adobe Acrobat is user friendly, in such a way that anyone could learn how to make or edit a PDF with Adobe's very simple guided Starter Guide. The last thing anyone in an organization needs is one more application that is slow or difficult to navigate, Adobe Acrobat could never be that application.
Adobe's security and compliance standards have lived up to our organization's expectations and more. Not only have we never had a breach in data, but in the event of any litigation, Adobe Acrobat has been a valuable resource to pull documents needed in any case. The standards set by Adobe are par with the standards of our organization, leaving us no room to wonder if we are compliant or if our employee's or organization's data is compromised or at risk.
Adobe Acrobat is light-years beyond GIMP. Not only is it a better way to view photos for documents, it is far easier to use at it is visually pleasing and easy to navigate. Adobe is more robust than Canva. Though Canva has more creative capabilities, Adobe has more professional options for editing and curating documents. Canva is great for flyers and catching someone's attention.
