Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

I daily use Adobe Acrobat with specific plug-ins to take reports that are hundreds of pages long, split them, and then merge them back together. This can all be handled in a matter of seconds. This saves time and man-power. We also use Adobe Acrobat with many of our automated processes and the final result is produced in pdf form.

Pros

  • Splits documents into separate pages
  • Merges documents back together through various data point options
  • Can even use a specific location on the document page to run through the filter

Cons

  • Occasionally updates will add pop-up windows in new places and glitches the automated processes
  • Extra clicks are now necessary to get to the dynamic stamp option
  • Combine feature will not accept .heic
  • We have reduced manual errors with use of automated processes that use Adobe Acrobat to combine and save .pdf documents where the title of the document is a unique set of data the is auto-produced and not manually typed in.
  • Our operational efficiency is increased when using Adobe Acrobat because we can combine multiple documents into one and save that document for later reference. This saves time by not having to title and save numerous files.
  • It is easy to navigate multi-page pdfs with Adobe Acrobat, so our productivity is increased by reduced staff needed for researching.
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Integration with Other Systems is the single most important factor in our decision to purchase. We have developed automation that uses Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and WinBatch to streamline many of our tasks. It was crucial that Adobe Acrobat be able to integrate and be able to be accessed in the programming.
We send and receive hundreds of emails a month dealing with financial information. We often use the feature of being able to password protect a document before sending to a client. It is a great option and convenient to be able to choose your own password. Give security and flexibility.
  • PDF Reader Pro
Adobe Reader is much more user friendly. The combine feature is essential for us. The edit features and the splitting and merging plug ins are daily used in our organization. We did not attempt to use PDF Reader Pro in any automation, but that integration is crucial for our needs.

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Adobe Acrobat is well suited when needing to combine multiple documents into one document. The Combine feature will accept .pdfs and picture files and Excel documents and will merge them and save as one .pdf. You can even rearrange the order of the documents once you've loaded them and before you combine. Unfortunately, it will not accept .heic files.
