Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
In our organization we use Adobe Acrobat for multiple use cases.
Form filling is utilized from our personnel and individual school teams for parents (permission slips for example.)
Redaction tools for freedom of information requests that we receive from time to time. And of course there is always the main use for opening and reading PDF files!

Pros
- Redaction tools
- Form filling
- Reading PDF files
Cons
- updates
- installation options
- plugin support (office 2024 is buggy)
- Streamlined PDF creation tools
- Less technical support required from staff
- Greater patch management requirements
- Cloud Solutions
- Scalability
- Ease of Use
Ease of use was the most important factor to us as an organization. We had staff who insisted on downloading different PDF solutions and then struggled to find the same options for basic PDF editing compared to Adobe. With the increase of freedom of information requests that we've seen we really needed our admin teams to be able to use a single tool intuitively. Adobe Acrobat has certainly ticked our boxes
Adobe Acrobat has streamlined our PDF editing suite and has allowed us to focus on security for one suite rather than several. Patch management can be handled centrally and is regular (we have had a few minor outlook plugin issues). With regards to compliance we find the redaction tools provide 100% confidence that we have correctly obscured all non subject targets with ease.
- Foxit PDF Editor
Adobe Acrobat is clearly on another level compared to other solutions we've trialed/used. The amount of different tools that are included are second to none and don't come with extra purchase requirements, so no extra trips to finance teams to ask for more money, one fixed and scalable (based on users) cost.
