Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

My organization uses Adobe Acrobat on a daily basis, mainly as an application used to see, edit, and access different PDF files as well as. It allows both our design and production teams to transform the files for client proofing and review, as well as makes it easy to document away digitally.

Pros

  • Merges multiple files into a single archive/PDF (text, images, etc.)
  • Has easy to use printing settings
  • Easy to use tools for editing, commenting, and marking documents.

Cons

  • The mobile version has some missing advanced features.
  • Slow performance in app when trying to open or edit large files.
  • Subscription management needs to be more user conscious/friendly.
  • Reduces manual errors in printing files thanks to the different annotation and comment tools.
  • Increases productivity by keeping most stuff on one file type rather than having it scattered across platforms.
  • Saving costs by having our proofs be digital instead of manual.
  • Ease of Use
Because it's easy to use regardless of if you are really tech savvy or not. It's very user oriented, as well as widely known around the world. It also helps that the tutorials found online are easy to follow thanks to its relatively simple interface and different tab divisions for their tools.
Our company handles a lot of sensitive client data, such as product artwork, UPCs, and prices. Features from Adobe Acrobat like password protection, restricted editing, and audit trails help us ensure that we are in compliance with our Brand's NDAs as well as helping reduce the risk of data breaches (since we are normally sharing these files across global teams and external partners).
Adobe Acrobat is better for working with PDFs since it lets you edit, sign, comment, and more; different documents with precision, while Google Drive is better for storing and sharing files. It does have features for team collaboration on Docs, Sheets, and Slides (unlike Adobe Acrobat) but it has, overall, limited PDF editing features in comparison.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Well suited scenario: Helping our graphics team have a tool to create different prepress PDF files with our products, making it an accessible file for our brands to access, evaluate, and comment.
Less appropriate: Not very good for real-time working or collaboration. If there is a comment that is needed under a timeframe, it may take longer sending a PDF and waiting for a comment in the file rather than making a call directly.
