Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We mainly use Adobe Acrobat for viewing and editing pdf's. We also use Adobe Acrobat for e-signing documents. Although you can open pdf's in MS Word to edit, most of the documents lose there formatting so it isn't a viable solution. This is where Adobe Acrobate comes in as it allows us to edit our pdf's without losing any previous formatting. Prior to e-signing documents via Adobe Acrobat, we were printing and manually signing the document. Since the pandemic, working from home has become the norm hence why we need another solution which doesn't require printing and Adobe Acrobat has allowed us to do this by moving to e-signing.

Pros

  • Allows you to edit your pdf's whilst maintaing any previous formatting
  • Allows you to e-sign documents nullifying the need to physically print and sign
  • Allows you to securely protect your pdf with a password which makes sharing pdf's more secure

Cons

  • When it comes to e-signing documents it would be good if you could automate a whole process whereby a document can be sent to multiple signers at the same time, without the need to send one by one.
  • Larger files can take some time to load.
  • When editing a pdf and moving anything other than text around it can get tricky in regards to the placement.
  • Saves us a lot of time when editing a document as you dont have to worry about formatting or allignment issues which you would get in MS Word
  • Without the e-signing feature we would have issues signing documents like overtime sheets, expenses, update to policies etc as most of the business work from home and do not have printer/scanner at home.
  • For a small business the price of the subscription is quite steep considering it's not a tool that we use day in day out.
  • Ease of Use
As previously mentioned we mostly use Adobe Acrobat to edit pdf's and e-sign documents. Both these tasks are easy enough to do with Adobe Acrobat. Hence Adobe Acrobat is a no brainer and the best solution for our business. It's also possible to buy licenses in smaller bundle which works well for us.
Adobe Acrobat allows us to secure our documents by password protecting them when required. It's not a feature we always use as we mostly share documents within the business but it is really valuable when we need to share confidential documents outside our business.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

I would recommed Adobe Acrobat to my colleagues as it does the basics well. When dealing with a pdf which contains images it is simple to edit the document without the images moving out of allignment. With the e-signing feature if you want more than 1 person to sign the document you have to send the document to each person after the other has signed.
