Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
I use Adobe Acrobat to send designs to clients across the country with various devices being the end-point. I send PDFs to printers, proofing them with the help of Adobe Acrobat. Additionally, I am combining files, organizing pages, and ensuring my designs are perfect. Comparing files also is a common task in my daily work.
Pros
- Combining Files
- Accurately Previewing Files
- Creating a Common program and document type for universal sharing
Cons
- Organizing Pages being faster to initiate
- Stopping Tasks while they are working (Holding Escape Key)
- Displaying technical information more readily
- Ability to accurately proof files
- Ability to share files and have them being accurately previewed by clients
- Combining Files instead of resaving them
- Ease of Use
There should be options for more technical users that require certain features and information to be more readily available and usable. These features typically are just underneath tons of other more basic tasks.
My company feels safe and secure using Adobe Acrobat and having our client use it to preview our designs that will ultimately live with them.
I don't know of competitors other than standard operating system previews.
