Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

I use Adobe Acrobat DC mostly as a PDF reader. Although it has more capabilities, they cost extra. I believe there are better tools for the extra functions, but as a reader, it works very well.
  • PDF reader.
  • Fill and sign PDFs.
  • Export PDFs to different formats
  • Many of the extra features require subscription.
  • Fairly large program.
  • Recognize text does not always work well.
  • Compatibility
  • Speed
  • Ease of use
  • Acrobat has been around a long time. Adobe is constantly making improvements.
  • Sometimes features are eliminated or moved to the subscription when a new version comes out.
Acrobat DC does seem to work well no matter where you access it from, PC, MAC, or mobile. I don't like that Adobe has gone to a monthly subscription for most of its products. I would rather purchase one time.
Adobe has been very secure for us. This does sometimes cause problems when trying to open certain PDFs, but can usually be solved through settings.
PDF Xchange includes many more features in their basic product than Adobe Acrobat DC does. However, the interface for PDF Xchange seems very dated. It looks like an old Windows 95 program.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

No

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Adobe Acrobat DC is hard to beat as a PDF reader. It almost always will open any PDF, opening some that other programs will not. I think more of the extra features should be included without a subscription.
