Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is being used across the whole organization for multiple departments. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is the preferred PDF document reader and is used to create, edit, and sign documents as well. This is used to address our Document Control System as our SOPs and controlled documents are all saved as a PDF in the QMS system.
- Great for editing PDFs (including adding comments)
- Very easy to fill and sign PDF forms with digitally tracking
- Converting different files to PDF (Word, PPT, Excel)
- The majority of the features require a paid version
- Sometimes formatting the text boxes is a little difficult when you insert them
- Editing the PDF
- Ability to sign the PDF
- Converting the PDF
- Good time saver by making transfer and converting documents easier
- Better accountability across the organization as this allows documents to be signed/dated
- Helps with document control and document editing (being able to comment and communicate)
I have briefly used FoxitPhantom PDF and in the end preferred Adobe. The user interface and the features just seem more intuitive and streamlined. Most of my professional career has been using Adobe, so there is also greater familiarity with it. The one knock is that Adobe is a little more expensive than Foxit.
