Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate
We are currently utilizing Captivate for high priority/high impact courses that have multiple interaction elements, narration, and overall theme of the organization. Right now, Training and IT are using Captivate. It helps us to stay on theme with brand as well as provide a consistent look and feel to our materials.
- Integrates well to LMS via SCORM packages.
- Able to create template for consistent and compliant branding.
- Interactive tools are helpful in creating high impact/high interactive courses.
- I do wish it were natively able to adjust to all mobile devices like other programs.
- I wish there weren't so much coding type work to make interactions work.
- It takes up a lot of space, it should be cloud-based.
- Captivate has allowed us, as the training team, to complete change training for the organization by breaking out of the PowerPoint world into true eLearning.
- It has allowed us to stay in brand compliance across all business sectors by creating templates.
I have created a matrix that explains how we, as a training team, can help determine the right authoring tool for the learning development job. Captivate really only comes out on top for high priority/high impact courses, since it takes a lot of development time, programming time, narration syncing, etc., but it is much more robust than the others.
