Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate
Captivate is being used by the Instructional Designers within the Corporate Training department to create employee and client training modules that include interactive assessments Not all training is created using Captivate, but we do focus our assessment-based training development through Captivate because of the features and controls available for development.
- Action buttons that allow for a table of contents feel while providing the end user an opportunity to jump to the section they are looking to receive specific training on.
- Publishing in SCORM format.
- I am not familiar with software programs that use timeline editing that runs from the beginning of the video to the end. Those are more intuitive to me than the “slide” approach of Captivate.
- Being able to assess how well the end-user learned what was taught.
All three have their strengths. I use each for different projects depending on what we are to accomplish.
