Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Creative Cloud Express (formerly Adobe Spark)

It's a handy tool to help take the load off our designer for things like internal emails, social committees, and other content we want to look nice but isn't necessarily part of branded, client-facing content. Since my position doesn't require Adobe Suite, easy/low priced, browser-based tools like Creative Cloud Express make things easier for our IT Department.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Variety of resources
  • Layers

Cons

  • Needs more templates
  • More shape/crop options
  • A simpler way to change color of assets
  • Not sure about this one
There's a lot of variety in template and design assets, but if I'm being honest, I often find Adobe's assets to be too "edgy" for everyday or corporate use. Often times I have a hard time finding something simple that I can either use immediately or slightly tweak to fit our corporate look.
The tool itself is very useful. It's a stripped down, browser based version of Indesign (sort-of). It's a great tool, but if you're someone who doesn't need a bold, almost pop art aesthetic, it's hard to utilize templates. If you prefer to build things from scratch, it's a good tool. But if you're trying to create a brand that is very different from the "adobe look" the templates aren't of much use.
As I said, the tool itself is useful and has a low learning curve. I like that it has layers that make for easy asset selection. I do like the versatility provided by different filters and blend modes.

Do you think Adobe Express delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Express's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Express live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Express go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Express again?

Yes

It's suitable for people looking to quickly graphics or assets for things like emails and social media. Especially good for people who are either on a budget (need low subscription pricing or don't have a computer that smoothly handles Adobe Suite software) or who can't get past the learning curve required by PS/AI/InD. Creative Cloud Express has the bare necessities, which is still enough if you know how to utilize it.
