Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly is used by both myself and my team as an assistive tool for enhancing product imagery. Often there are product photos that may need edits that the AI tool can finesse faster than in a manual manner. The key is having the right prompting in using it for the desired outcome as with all AI tools. I've also successfully utilized it without a prompt and see the desired result.

Pros

  • Improve photos by touchups
  • Removing undesired areas in a photo
  • Extending a background that was more portrait than horizontal
  • changing an entire background color
  • Creating custom text styles for overlay copy

Cons

  • Saving past AI projects
  • Saving prompts beyond favoriting them by categorizing them
  • Giving you more style references to help you achieve the prompt you need for the desired result
  • A prompt assistant to get you started. With a conversational experience sort of like turbo tax to get the prompt you want.
  • Pick up where you left off feature.
  • Companies are worried about the use of AI.
  • Continuing to expand the data library that is being used for Firefly
  • Time saving
Still can use some improvements. There isn't a good pick up where you left off use for the tool. Sometimes you can achieve your work in the same session. If you power down the software you are then stuck to recreate where you were. Totally a disavantage
Artlist is picking up on the missing elements of Firefly. Uploading an image and then utilizing the design engine it does more successfully. It's an annual payment to use but worth it.
