Overall Satisfaction with Adobe InDesign
I used to use InDesign in my previous role in another company. InDesign was the tool that I used on a daily basis. Over the years it has evolved and can handle a lot of interactive features and you can do online publishing from it as well. We also used it for e-publications and to create interactive PDFs. It is a lot more than a tool used for print designers.
- Flexible for creating interactive content
- Easy to learn, intuitive
- Great connection with other apps like Photoshop, Illustrator (for auto link updates)
- Can create live caption for images which is an excellent time saving feature
- E-publication was extremely hard to use not to mention expensive
- InDesign is a time efficient tool
- InDesign is great for supporting style guides and implementing them (you can create shortcuts and apply text styes - program your keys to do that - hit F1 and your highlighted text would be styled as body copy (you would have to chose specific key command for that).
InDesign is a great for multi-page publications which neither Photoshop or Illustrator can handle. It is optimal for heavy image use without being weighed down by the size of the images. You can update images automatically and edit them by clicking on the linked content. The work space is intuitive and easy to learn.
