Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Marketo Engage

I am a Adobe Marketo Engage Admin so I really use the tool for everything marketing related like email campaigns, lead engine, lead scoring, nurture emails, etc. I think it’s a great tool that has many features and allows for custom workflows when needed. I like that is syncs bidirectionally with Salesforce to ensure marketing and sales data is aligned.

Pros

  • Adobe Marketo Engage has great scoring capabilities to allow you to score beyond just behavioral triggers.
  • Adobe Marketo Engage syncs well with Salesforce our CRM.
  • Adobe Marketo Engage syncs well with other tools in general like our social platforms, chatbot and webinar tool.

Cons

  • The UX can sometimes be a little outdated.
  • I wish webinars were unlimited in general and not a paid add on for more.
  • Marketable database percentage could show tips via AI or in general to ensure the rest of the database becomes marketable.
  • Improved lead scoring to truly show intent to buy.
  • Additional context on behaviors such as clicks and web page visits outside of just conversion points allows the sales team to see more touchpoints.
  • Email templates allows for increased employee efficiency so I don’t have to be the sole user of Adobe Marketo Engage.

Scoring and email campaigns allows us to promote to specific audiences at the correct time. Segmentation can be as custom as we want and that is a bug plus for new business versus expansion. At the end of the day, we want to increase revenue in all aspects and our campaign driven in Adobe Marketo Engage in addition to enrichment, lead scoring, and routing all ties into that objective.
Although hubspot may be more affordable, Adobe Marketo Engage has more bang for your buck. I think there is a lot more room for customization to truly maximize your lead engine and syncing your data with Salesforce. More customizations allows for constant improvement on a regular basis so there is never “set it and forget it”.

It has more custom features and allows for complex workflows that other MAPs like hubspot do not. To me this is a big plus because I can do a lot and if I don’t know how to do it off the top of my head, the community helps a lot. If someone is less experienced or not up to the challenge; they may prefer a simpler MAP.
