Overall Satisfaction with Adobe PhotoShop

[Adobe] Photoshop is a mainstay for anyone interested in design and marketing. The entire Adobe suite (of which Photoshop is the anchor) is a necessary tool for any marketer to understand. We use it for a number of items, and I know that over the 32 years I have used it, it has morphed into a very large piece of software, most of the features I have not used. But, it is much like a hammer. You have to understand the basics of what it does before you can move into the various options, let alone the automation (such as a pneumatic hammer for your fence). Pick up the basics and understand the hammer. Go from there.
  • Photo editing for Pixel based files
  • Ability to edit elements in a way that is organic and soft
  • Editing anything that is not vector based.
  • Move most of the most basic elements to the front. Tuck the advanced stuff back
  • Don't over complicate it that it is not accessible for most
  • Standardization (.psd files and mac based)
  • Useful for Adobe Suite
  • Capabilities
  • Industry standard for standardization
  • Allows creativity to be expressed
  • Consistent quality and support

For basic editing, [Adobe] Photoshop might be overkill and something like free or simple tools might be better. But, if you are professional, you need to understand the fullness of the ability.
