Overall Satisfaction with Adobe PhotoShop

We have seven Creative Cloud licenses being used across a few different departments…Marketing, Production, and Development. On the marketing side [Adobe] Photoshop is used for photo manipulation, collages, page backgrounds, etc. On the Production side used for simple color correction on photos being placed in publications. On the Development side it's used for basic mockup situations that are presented to other departments.
  • We use [Adobe] Photoshop to mark up screenshots that are used in our Knowledge Base. Being able to save as a layered PSD allows us to go back and make edits later, unlike Apple Preview where once you save your markup you can't edit later on.
  • Photo correction and manipulation is extremely helpful. We don't have lots of this but being able to simply change a hue or make something black and white, it's a quick change in Photoshop.
  • I mentioned Layers, but to me that's something Photoshop does extremely well. Being able to layer text or images and to be able to move them around to structure the graphic differently is a game changer. It's never fun working with tons of layers, but the end result of the graphic is usually rewarding.
  • I struggle with thinking of areas where Photoshop can improve. I'm not a power user, so it works for the things I need it for. I've used it for 22 years so there have been MANY improvements over the years…all for the better
  • Even something as simple as the annoying Tooltips, thinking if would be nice if you could turn these off. Turns out you can turn those off by going into Preferences.
  • One thing would be to find a way to rasterize text differently in a Photoshop file. We work in digital publishing and when an ad has been created in Photoshop, the text is always blurrier than text that was created in Adobe InDesign. It would be nice to be able to designate a specific layer to a specific resolution or something.
  • Ability to Edit Images like cropping, combining, creating clipping paths, etc.
  • Ability to do simple color correction to photos.
  • Ability to work with other Adobe apps seamlessly.
  • Ability to create stunning graphics when needed.
  • Since we do our marketing inhouse, it's extremely important to have a powerful app such as Photoshop. It allows us to create to our specs and brand.
  • Our business model has changed a lot over the years but Photoshop has been a constant in all of that change. There's always a reason to have it and I have never found a time where it wouldn't do what I needed it to do.
Fortunately for Adobe, unfortunately for others, I've never used any other software that was similar to Photoshop. I started in the printing industry working at a newspaper in the production department, then moved into the magazine publishing industry and now into the digital publishing industry. All of those 22 years I was using Photoshop as my go-to photo and graphic software. Photoshop has never let me down.

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe PhotoShop go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe PhotoShop again?

Yes

Adobe Photoshop can be used in so many applications. There's really no limit into what you can use Photoshop for…except page layout :-). When you pair it with Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator it only becomes more powerful. But just being able to edit images or create a detailed design you really can make Photoshop do whatever you want.
