Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
I use AlphaSense to quickly read company files and research papers. The UI offers a way better experience than Bloomberg and PDFs. I also use the chart exportation and note-taking functions a lot. I no longer need to hardcode numbers from financial reports or sell side charts and get rid of constant copy-paste to my one note. They do offer AI and other functions, but that takes some learning efforts that I haven't committed to.
Pros
- Present comprehensive company reports/news/sell side research with key work.
- Automatically extract charts.
- Smart key work search.
Cons
- They don't allow language filter. The info in foreign language does not help.
- The advanced searching is not intuitive.
- Efficiency has improved.
It improves efficiency for sure. But we are in an era of abundant information, I'd like more targeted info than all info.
