Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
Better understanding the market when evaluating investment opportunities.
Very quick and easy way to find specific data - i.e. market size, product sales, clinical information about the product. The search-ability across document types is the biggest draw for me and why I have been in a repeat buyer and have used it in my last 3 jobs.
Very quick and easy way to find specific data - i.e. market size, product sales, clinical information about the product. The search-ability across document types is the biggest draw for me and why I have been in a repeat buyer and have used it in my last 3 jobs.
Pros
- Searching for sales of a drug called Ampyra
Cons
- Searching Financial Data for companies. I'd like to be able to pull historical financials for a company by segment or search for companies based on certain financial metrics.
- Being able to search for transactions - i.e. all life science M&A above $2bn or transactions that mention interventional oncology
- Certainly quicker searches. I'm able to pull data live in a meeting rather than say "I'll get back to you".
I don't use the alerts, but I should.
- FactSet and S&P Capital IQ
Again, the above are better at sorting and researching companies with certain financial metrics. AlphaSense is better when you know which company you want to learn more about. Also, they are better at simply providing financial metrics of company and historical information.
