Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
Search and analysis of relevant themes from competitor commentary that may be relevant to our own operations and potential investor/analyst queries. Also used to access sellside research on competitors that isn't already available to us
Pros
- Sourcing of relevant peers commentary
- Transcript summaries (newly added)
- Customer support is virtually instant and always polite and helpful
Cons
- AlphaSense's own suggestions of key commentary topics are often not useful / informative
- Greater efficiency in peer analysis
- Deeper insight in to key sector topics of interest to investors and analysts
Made it more efficient to actively search for a topic i already have it mind ("pull"). However, I haven't found much value added in AlphaSense taking the initiative to tell me what is important ("push") - as most of the key topics it finds are fairly standard financial terms which aren't value-add
