Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense

AlphaSense puts literally every piece of information you could want at your fingertips. As an IR professional, it is my job to stay apprised of the latest industry and competitor news. AlphaSense provides that all under one platform. Furthermore, the AI summaries help me determine what I should spend my time doing deep dives on vs what I just need to skim. Overall, it is an invaluable tool for information gathering.

Pros

  • AI summaries of transcripts
  • UX dashboard and customization features
  • Live support for any and all issues 24/7

Cons

  • 10K/Q filings link-back features in order to quickly share sourcing of information
  • Amount of data can be overwhelming until the right parameters are set up
  • Easier ability to get real-time access approval from sell-side analysts
  • Real-time alerts have helped me catch industry news the moment it drops, helping me get ahead of inbound requests for more information
  • I save at least an hour per day not having to scour multiple sites for information sources.
Initially, AlphaSense can be overwhelming given the number of customizable features and search functions, however the company provides a dedicated rep and supporting team that can help users get up to speed quickly and create a customized dashboard that distills out unnecessary information and brings to front the most vital news and research in real-time.
The real-time alerts are critical to our team staying ahead of all industry and competitor news. Without it, we would likely find ourselves learning about things when we receive the inbound question from an investor. Furthermore, given the large volume of information available, I am particularly impressed with AlphaSense's ability to curate searches that show exactly what information I need.
AlphaSense is the go-to source for research and industry news. While each competing program has it's unique abilities, AlphaSense is the clear frontrunner by a long margin when it comes to research and news. The search capabilities make it the easiest user-interface platform on the market for its intended purpose.

AlphaSense is great for doing deep-dives on topics, but less necessary if you just need access to one or two research reports. The subscription cost dictates that you need to access the platform quite regularly to make this a worthwhile investment; it is not for the casual user. That said, this platform is a must for an research-heavy professional that needs the most up-to-date access in a user-friendly manner.
