Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
AS helps us better than Bloomberg. The document search finder plus the expert call network has been very valuable for us deepening our research and finding good investment ideas. Keyword searches sound simple, but can be very tough to actually do successfully with precision. AS has features that help us here.

- Cost can be a barrier for many teams at our firm
- More transparency on expert call bios, backgrounds, etc
- Clinical data for healthcare — scan documents and highlight what matters, allow us to not have to sift through
- Added confidence for longs and shorts
- More efficient and streamlined investment process.
- Analytical edge over our competitors who don’t use it.
We have not used all of the market intelligence sources that AS has yet. Last we spoke with them this was an area they were trying to build out. What would be helpful is if AS builds out a product similar to Visible alpha. This would be a massive opportunity for our team and would convince everybody to use it.
Different in lots of ways. Each vendor above has things that are unique. Bloomberg is a necessity for my role, but the AS like product they have (Docusearch) doesn’t compare. Alphasense is worth the money right after Bloomberg and Visible Alpha (which is significantly cheaper). AS is not a healthcare only product so difficult to compare.
