Overall Satisfaction with Alteryx
Alteryx is being used for analytics on large risk datasets so it's used in one department to analyze data from across the entire enterprise. To crunch all the data present across the enterprise-wide risk assessments would be extraordinarily difficult using Excel. We are then able to use the visualization to make it easy to use and validate certain hypothesis when looking at risk data. We can then use it since it integrates with Tableau, Excel etc. for further dashboarding-type activity once the data has been sufficiently extracted, and analyzed.

- It enables working with very large data sets
- It is a really useful tool for data preparation work to pilot and design dashboards
- It is easy to explain the data processing workflow to your colleagues
- Lack of knowledge around the platform
- It requires some initial training to get familiar with the tool
- Licensing and costs
- The ROI in specific use cases without heavy analytics talent is quite high
- The ability to pre-publish/ design further analytics in a key strength
- The ability to prep data for future use cases is where Alteryx shines
In short, license availability and familiarity with the tool amongst the immediate team. Some of us also had the opportunity to use Qlik Sense in the past at previous shops but since we had the ability to rapidly use Alteryx without going through the while vendor process, we were happy to use it.
