Overall Satisfaction with Alteryx
We use Alteryx for data prep, cleaning and analytics, to funnel data into Tableau. Used solely in our analytics department.
- Makes automating data cleaning a breeze.
- Data prep becomes a fun activity with Alteryx.
- Analytics becomes more of a focus, as Alteryx is doing the heavy lifting.
- Training seems to be lacking or expensive.
- Offline guides would be helpful instead of logging into the online training.
- Multi-use licence would be great to jump from laptop to desktop.
Alteryx has more options and functionality compared to Tableau Prep. It has hands down changed our operation workflows.

6 - Most of the users in our company that utilize Alteryx are analyst and data extraction team members. Alteryx is one of the primary tools used in both of these roles. Used alongside SQL databases and Tableau dashboards Alteryx serves as the bridge between the two to do the heavy lifting of data prep.
2 - The users who support Alteryx in our organization are primarily IT employees with experience deploying software and maintaining software. These users primarily also support other enterprise software alongside other IT support roles.
